I feel like Wraiths should have the original concept of darkened/lifeforce tether draining, the fav undead summon crp creatures, and maybe some other cool unique undead spells (do not all need to be combative). i just feel for endgames there has been this new trend of making them the worst versions of their original magics/cas at the cost of all their slots and actual fun for the player after that point. i feel like working your way up to this point would sort of have your character reduced to a screaming evil vape cloud in the back of the CRP while your darkstalker and draugars do all the battle. i get it, necromancers are moving to a more support role to their undead ca players, but a WRAITH was once the pinnacle for all dark magics. they should be, at the very least, capable of holding their own should they need to and not having to rely on a whole squad of CAs to protect them anytime they wish to leave the lair. -1 until some sort of buffing is applied. +1 because i would love to see wraiths back, always been the superior endgame CA.

i remember when i learned how to make dreadknights before covid and was told if i ever did make one that i would be meta hunted and force pk’d and my teacher would get kicked out of his cool skype chat. now it seems like everyone and their mother is gonna be making dread knights since blood magic is basically modern day soul puppetry with how accessible it’s become. i like it, don’t get me wrong. i do see it’s kind of weak and from the comments that’s the understanding i’ve come to, so feel free to correct me. i do think that making them a creature that can be made by both seems a little… odd? i feel like if blood magic is going to be watered down to cool rituals then it should eventually have a catalog of things and creatures it can make. dreadknights and sorvians were two of these super rare cas that were born of blood magic (iirc). that’s why blood magic to me feels so lame, is it’s basically a mart machine for aesthetic weapons? it’s ******* BLOOD MAGIC. i think dreadknights should remain a blood magic exclusive thing. with that being said, i wouldn’t be mad if this passed. i just think this iteration shines a light on just how gutted blood magic has become. +2, but -1 one for another thing blood magic got robbed of.

the fact that the setting for all of this is a MINECRAFT ROLEPLAY SERVER is so unimaginably embarrassing for us all.

thought of this after i posted, so i’ll go again: as someone who’s lead staff teams or been apart of just about all of them, i regret to inform you that all of that time, dedication, patience, and mental wherewithal actually had to be completely taken out of my little pockets. the amount of times i would be telling people that you can’t use a “sexy hatsume miku skin” just to have the ******* n word screamed at me by a stranger on teamspeak? or, i’d host an event and a group of people come strictly to trash it and **** with me and i have no upper staff willing to assist me. for the love of the game? yes, i will fully believe that like “staff you” and “player you” can be different vibes, but know that when you have a bold colored tag of any variety it instills a sense of importance or hierarchy to the average player, especially the new ones. HOWEVER, i think anyone who’s done more than a summer on a team and really made it a part-time job will tell you that it can be a lot of work from you for little return. so when you’re having players lash out at you knowing you’re an “employee” and might be expected to eat it, criticizing your work needlessly to bait a negative reaction, and so on. it gets bonks, and it’s the fact that staff members for LoTC are all VOLUNTEERS. /godmode isn’t worth it for me to get accosted by hordes of children and FULL GROWN, OLDER THAN ME, ADULTS over metagaming. frfr - i don’t get the hype about this situation. wolfy-d felt one way, werewolf reacted another, but it wasn’t anything truly malicious or evil? i mean, i literally exist to picks fights on the forums of lord of the craft. i was just trying to instill something he could take from this experience as he is, but a child.

well, that you’ve said it sounds actually kinda corny… so, @Wolfy-Dyou should start drafting up a hit piece on somebody else from the ST. learn nothing from this experience.

all it took was being called a moron and to shut up? that’s what ruffled your feathers so fiercely that you typed this all out and posted it onto the forums? bit of advice for next time; i’m telling you, any kind of post that you make is at risk of being dog pilled or turned into a circus. one person has a based take in opposition to you, more likely about you (they get a cute double digit upvotes). all of a sudden rows of names are on the page and they’ve all come to clown you. that’s admittedly why i initially clicked the post. however, someone commented and has informed us that you are a “literal child”. that’s an illuminating bit of information here, and i’m glad i saw that because it would’ve been extremely distasteful to call you a “******* *****”. you were the one who started the hostility? admitted to being rude to him before the screenshotted interaction? listen, here’s some more advice; don’t f*ck around if you’re not prepared to find out. block people!!!! block anyone you don’t want to interact with. this is all VIRTUAL, you can just click a button and send them to the ******* shadow realm???? also, i’m not all close to werewolf at all, but i know that he is not the one and only reason these “people” are leaving the server. it’s not hard to avoid players you don’t care for and sometimes rping in a different city and moving to a new discord feels like a whole different world. i know for a fact werewolf is not following people around from discord to discord to harass them. even if he was, looking at those messages and it’s about the tamest its ever been on this server. from now on no more call out posts (especially not @ a very popular member of the community), don’t be rude to anyone and give them a reason to be rude back, and remember that you don’t know these people and they don’t know you. it’s👏🏻 not👏🏻 that👏🏻 deep👏🏻 we’re playing pretend on minecraft.

As someone who has been a longstanding figurehead within this CA, this decision has hit particularly hard, especially given my history with the community and my extensive efforts to keep it alive. First and foremost, I am hurt that my personal circumstances were overlooked despite having communicated my difficulties to staff in the past. Life outside of the server sometimes demands more of us than we’d like, and while I made you aware of my displacement and inactivity, it seems no consideration was given to that context when this decision was made. The lack of a simple direct message or even an opportunity to discuss the state of the CA with me—someone who has dedicated so much time and energy to it—is, frankly, disheartening. I understand that Frost Witches have faced significant challenges over the years, and I acknowledge that efforts to breathe life back into the CA may not have panned out as intended. That said, shelving a CA as iconic and integral to the server’s history as Frost Witches in such a sudden and blunt manner feels like a massive disservice not just to its players, but to the lore and creativity that has gone into it over the years. The options presented to us for our characters are lackluster, to say the least. To be forced into either shelving our characters or dropping the CA with no meaningful in-character resolution, no events to mark its legacy, and no lingering narrative impact is beyond disappointing. This decision feels rushed, uninspired, and as if the CA was simply being “taken out back” and discarded without a second thought. A CA with as much history and importance as Frost Witches deserved far more. Yes, I understand that the community surrounding Frost Witches has had its struggles and that relations with the staff may not have always been ideal. But the way this was handled feels like a punishment to those of us who do care deeply about the CA and were actively trying to bring it back, even in the face of personal and in-game challenges. I was willing to do whatever it took to rebuild and improve the state of Frost Witches. I reached out when I became aware of what was coming and offered my time, effort, and solutions to ensure a better future for the CA. Unfortunately, it seems that my passion and willingness to work alongside staff were either ignored or deemed insufficient. At the very least, Frost Witches deserved a proper send-off—an event, a storyline, something that would allow the players to reflect on the impact of the CA and give closure to the characters we’ve built and loved over the years. Shelving without any long-term ramifications or a final hurrah feels dismissive, especially for those of us who invested so much into this community. “You feel grief”, of course we do - our CA got shelved.
