The birds chirp in the wind over the barren woods, where a plot of land stood. In this land lay a weeping willow. Running through the woods, Ellette looked behind her many times, she knew her attackers were coming and she knew they could smell her. She knew she had no chance to escape, so she had no other option but to run. She'd slide her way behind a tree, pausing to look at the wound in her leg dealt by the arrow shoot from the sky. Placing a wry hand against the bolt, she'd wince in pain and cower to her knees. A single tear would flow down her cheek before she she heard the rustling, of the wolf that had she had tamed. The wolf rushed to her side sniffing her and examining her. She'd place a bloody hand top of the mut's head, patting and rubbing its ears. She'd give it a light kiss before standing back up and beginning to move off, trying to shoo the wolf away as she'd move onward. Upon reaching a clearing she'd halt once more, slouching down to her bum against a tree. She'd reach a hand into the sheath attached at her thigh, tightening it to stop the bleeding in the leg. With a swift movement she'd withdraw the blade in the sheath, looking about she'd dip her fingers in the blood and mark the tree behind her. Moving through the forest she'd place more and more blood along trees, however she'd soon stop and move in an alternate direction of the bloody path. Her wolf in toe. She'd approach another clearing, the hunters were waiting for her. Raising a hand she'd yell a command the wolf would soon lunge forward into battle! In the field lay the body of Ellette, soon discovered by one of her sisters and brought back to the Grove. Where her willow tree, forever wept. Placed at the trunk and to become one with her tree, the sisters lay before her, chanting and singing for safe passage of her soul.
