    The Huntsmen

The Huntsmen Huntsmen Regime, est. 1705 The Huntsmen are a guild (and/or Regime) that provide and output a highly trained specialization of troop designed in the art of containment or elimination any magical, mythical or mysterious creature or foreign threat. Whom of which the Huntsmen deal in the dispelling and organization of such beasts if a problem arises in all of Arcas lands, covering every nation if needed be. This regime will also serve in furthering development and other technologies which will be used to assist the races, nations and people of Arcas alike for future generations and beyond. Notice: The application for The Huntsmen can be found at the bottom of this post. What will they do? The Huntsmen are trained in every aspect of mythical creature if the problem may arise to launch the deployment of the regime. They are highly disciplined in the art of most known creatures but also responsible for the documentation of new creatures to further ensure the safety the people of Arcas even after death. These tasks include, but are not limited to, documenting new creature behavior, dissecting and learning the creature in its entirety, learning and teaching new methods to counteract such actions of any creature and etcetera. Summary of tasks: Tasks of The Huntsmen outline a broad spectrum, allowing for great diversity within in the group which, in turn, leads to better cooperation and overall teamwork, increasing productivity done by the organization. A member of The Huntsmen may not be limited to one, but a few if they so wish to partake in such actions. The most basic, yet challenging, of the roles would be the hunters. These folk would be involved in the slaying and containment of any sort of beast. Next, the scholars may document any creature atop of studying foreign beasts, flora and anything that is generally unknown and undocumented. Contractors will be inventors and craftsmen, inventing and designing new ways to take down such creatures as well as building and creating weapons to assist in the killing and detainment of otherworldly beasts that require such weaponry. Scriveners will make sure any information completed or in-progress will reach public or private hands if needed, transporting important or fresh documents, they will also partake in the organization of The Huntsmen, making sure everyone is up to duties. Lastly, the medics and alchemists of The Huntsmen will be responsible for experimenting with new ingredients in part of healing injured scouts either on the field or in safety. These tasks are not limited to the ones listed above, any member may speak to any high ranking official to arrange a special and unique commitment. Summary of rankings: The rankings of The Huntsmen are completely unique to the guild but some pay homage to an old monster hunting guild known as the Vizmak Brigade. It is designed in the way of a ladder, much like any traditional military but strays from beaten path when it comes to the names of such ranks. What does ‘Vizmak’ mean? Vizmak is a term of slang simply referring to skilled monster hunters, a group of which derived from early Atlas, the named Vizmak is commonly thought as monster hunters and scholars whom specialize in the unknown. It refers to breakers of darkness and unknown tyranny, to break the bounds of where light does not reach and to spread information to most. The Vizmak were trained in the art of survival atop of their excellent ability to monster hunt, knowing more than enough to survival in the Yatl Wastes for years, if needed be. The Huntsmen will relate themselves to the now deceased Vizmak Brigade, to pick up the torch and provide safety to those across Arcas whom live in tyranny of monsters and beasts. The guild itself will be riveting and will press an extreme amount of mental strain to whomever is a member of The Huntsmen guild. Though they must strive to provide a light to the darkness that is Arcas and it’s creatures. How do I join? Anyone interested in joining the regime may do so though after completing a special and unique trial afit to your direct skills, which will be organized by whomever the Huntsmen Headmaster is at the current moment of time. Before the final initiation process begins and is organized. The applicant will go through a series of mental, physical and general tests to prove wit, strength and ability atop of knowledge and experience. You may fill out the form at the end of this document to start your legacy within The Huntsmen. Ranking system: In The Huntsmen, rank will purely determine who leads the hunting and/or scouting party, as an individual progresses through the ranks they will begin to earn special privileges. However, the further they progress, the more they will have to prove themselves to progress to the next rank. These ranks are purely unique to The Huntsmen guild, some paying homage to the Vizmak Brigade. From Highest to Lowest: Headmaster: The Headmaster of The Huntsmen will be in charge of the organization of the regime as a whole. Being the one whom organizes hunts and other events relating to the division. The entity will also be in charge of recruitment and general communication throughout the regiment. The person will also be in charge of changing trials, promotions and will closely watch members. The Headmaster will rarely go into battle as the risk is too great. Surrogate: The Surrogate will serve as a stand-in for the Headmaster and will voice the Headmaster’s desires and notices. They will be second-in-command and will take over the Headmaster’s position if death or resignation were to overcome the HM. The Surrogate also leads training for the most part, though the HM can step in and take over. Can participate in hunts though is not recommended. Harbinger: This entity is in charge of leading the main charge in hunting and scouting operations. He/she will conduct his/her troops and make up the sole battleplans (If the Surrogate or HM are not participating) Can also arrange hunting and scouting events with approval of a higher entity and can hand out demotions with permission. Dignitary: The main organizer and manager of a certain specialization within The Huntsmen. They will be in-charge of reporting and organizing whichever troop they are in-charge of and there will always be one assigned to each of the roles. They can only organize meetings and events with their specific role. Bloodied: The introductory officer role. They will serve as a wingman for their dignitary and will be in charge of being the leader of any operation in place of higher ups. These entities are granted permission to conduct the first few stages of recruitment. Slayer: A rank proving that you have wit and skill on the hunting grounds, this rank will only be given to monster hunters whom have been through several hunts and proved themselves worthy of the rank. These people will take lead in the result of any officer death and can take a leadership role if no higher rank shows up. Also provided with a new task of designing new combat methods and a slight amount of training to lower ranks. Adept: This role is for everyone that is NOT in the monster hunting role. For whom that have proved worthy with their role. This is solely a progression rank simply symbolizing you have somewhat proved yourself as an individual. Huntsman: Anyone with this ranking has been apart of the regime for a small while and has killed a few beasts or made a few advancements fit to their specialization. They’re an honorary members and working their way up. Scout: They passed their trials successfully and now are a full member of the regime. Once this rank is obtained they will select what specialization(s) they want to go into, if they haven’t already. Trainee: This rank passed through their trials successfully and are going through training, getting informed of the roles and being interviewed further to test wit and skill. These specializations can be mixed and matched in case a member wants to do multiple activities within the regime. Hunters: This troop is trained to hunt different types of monsters and other threats. This specialization will be first deployed when a plea for help is called for that requires any deal of fighting though they will be also trained in the art of negotiation for any advanced foreign threat that unders the language of common or peace. The muscle of the regime. Scholars: This specialization is classed in the art of writing and literature. This group will document any new or vaguely known creatures, flora, magic item or unidentifiable objects that are generally unknown. This troop will also be in charge of speaking with hunters to develop new ways for combat against the unknown atop of making battle plans if needed. The smarts of the regime. Medics: These entities will be trained in the arts of healing and anything medical including the knowledge of making medicine. They will be trained in depth on how to treat (to the best of their current ability) broken bones, scraps, any gashes, poison and any other wounding and/or dangerous foreign ability to harm an ally. The angels of the regime. Contractors: Tinkers, craftsmen, alchemists and architects. This group will be in charge of creating new technology to help Arcas as a whole (for a tech price) as well as the regime. They will develop new weapons, armor and potions and any other item atop of experimenting with new materials and objects obtained from the field and monsters. Atop of this, they will be tasked with building siege weaponry for The Huntsmen and any nation they are dealing business with for any need. The task makers of the regime. Scriveners: This role will make sure every member of The Huntsmen is doing their part to be productive and active. They will also be responsible for letting the public eye (as well as other high up entities they are dealing business with) what is currently happening and any new research/discoveries that are important to know. They are in-charge of logging any events and handing out payment. Requirements: Any applicant may openly apply for this regime though a list of suggested requirements are posted. First, the applicant must be strong minded. The open world of beasts and witchcraft can be a sick and twisted place, some discoveries will be very straining to the mind and soul of any person. Second, knowledge of weaponry is recommended. We will not baby people through their trials, come in knowing how to fight. Third, the applicant must be able to quickly react and respond. We’re fighting monsters, some will strike at speeds unhindered to that any descendant could perform. Lastly, be able to openly learn and follow orders. No matter how skilled the applicant is, they’ll need to be able to learn. Following orders is crucial to the survive of the applicant and his or her peers. If you don’t listen, you risk a high chance of injuries which could end up fatal. If you meet most of all of these simple requirements, then you’re eligible for applying. If you don’t, you can still apply - just be prepared for a very straining set of trials. Benefits: While there are some dangerous (yet thrilling) downsides to being in The Huntsmen, there’s the fair share of benefits and incentives that comes along with being apart of the regime. First, upon achieving the ranking of Trainee, you will be provided free training to any specialization you wish if needed (Any additional training will cost). If you are the ranking of Scout and are mortally wounded whilst you are performing an action for The Huntsmen causing you to be permanently unable to work, you will be paid out 500 mina and a free commissioned 1 (IRL) month(s) of housing with the barracks for recovery or for time to be able to learn a new profession, during this time you will be allowed to switch roles in The Huntsmen at the cost of disqualifying you from the rewarded benefits, though you will be provided free re-training. Atop of this, you will be provided a weapon upon arrival along with unlimited replacements of said weapon(s) if lost in combat. Free large rooms within the facility will be given to all those whom have achieved the ranking of Huntsman. Any wounds caused in battle will also be covered and treated free of cost. Atop of these benefits you are provided access to a top-of-the-line research facility, smithy and alchemy lab for any researching needs. Payment: Payment for The Huntsmen will go as followed though as The Huntsmen are a unfunded and independent guild, some information is subject to change depending on the month and current income flow. Though the plan is, if possible, whatever mina obtained from hunts will go to providing its members with free housing, upgrading the current facility with new materials and research equipment, and food as well as any new materials such as slayer-steel blades, any leftover beast parts will also fund this. For each event a member attends, they will be guaranteed at least 50 mina for that event, if the bounty’s mina count is higher than the payment will be raised for that event. All event mina will be added up and in a bi-weekly cycle the payments will be handed out to its members. The remaining mina will put into Huntsmen savings or go to improving the guild as a whole. Synopsis: The Huntsmen Regime will assist all of Arcas’ people and nations in the protection from the beasts and monsters that roam free and cause intent to terrorize, destroy or disrupt the peace of Arcas. Atop of that, they will provide siege weaponry to whomever requires assistance to such and will output new technology advancements and research findings to the general public, if approved by The Huntsmen council. Hello, Elizabeth! My name is Bluee and I’ll be handling your application. After reviewing your application, I’ve noticed a few discrepancies you have to fix within a 24 hour time period, but don’t fret! I’m here to help you every step of the way. Please correct the following changes: In your biography you mention you were raised in the High Elven city of Okarn’thilln on Atlas, however that is not possible if your character is a 125 years old. That means you would’ve been born on the start of Axios and in the High Elven city of Haelun’or. Please correct this so you were raised in the correct time period and city. You must also include at least two lore facts from our wiki in your biography. You currently have one. In your interesting facts you must have at least one negative trait, please correct this. Being picky about your love life isn’t necessarily negative. Well that’s it! If you have any problems or questions whilst correcting your application you may contact me here on the forums or on my Discord at Talavok#3594. There’s also a handful of helpful folks in the New Player Discord whom are willing to help you. When you’re done you may contact me in the two previously mentioned methods or just leave a comment here. Best of luck!

The letter t is great and all but it doesn’t make for a suitable metagaming and powergaming definition very well. It also doesn’t make for a very good biography, description, and facts. You may reapply immediately.
