I fine LotC to be an escape from real life, and as a way to explore a world that doesn't exist. A world with Orcs, and Elves, and Necromancers, and Golems, and magic arms, and enchanted blades, and powerful beings. It is a fantasy server for a reason, and I think the fantastical must be allowed to flourish within it.

A Tragic Death for a Tragic Man On the 12th of Owyn’s Flame, 1827, George finally broke. He was already broken, but this time, he broke beyond repair. Many other things broke that day: His widow’s heart, the window he threw himself through. Shattered beyond repair. George Hartcold-Rourke threw himself through that window in a burst of desperate energy. Although the fall wasn’t far, it was very lethal. The Attorney-General lands on the ground head-first with a horrid crack. Geoff Turgon calls out his name, but there is no reply. He’s gone. He’s gone. His final thoughts were of his wife, of course. They weren't sad thoughts, they were memories. He remembered her eager smile as a youth. He remembered her painting him in his house, how beautiful her brushstrokes were. He remembered the day he proposed to her, on the couch in his house. She said yes. He remembered the engagement party, and teasing her in front of the relatives. He remembers the wedding, of course. One of the best days of his short life. He remembered the birth of his first born child, a beautiful baby boy. He remembers dancing awkwardly with her at a ball in the Augustin, laughing all the while. He remembers the birth of the twins, how happy he was. And after that, he doesn’t want to remember anything else. He felt only pain after that. A few people race to his forlorn body, they check his heartbeat, they try to coax him back to life. All their efforts are for naught. That poor man would rather be dead, than face a life without love. His broken heart has stopped beating. It now lies, like him, a victim of love. A victim of love. ((OOC: I really enjoyed playing with the O’Rourke family, and I shall continue to play with them, specifically @gurlpirate and @DelaneyG, as one of George’s twins. This is one of the first characters I have PK’d, and the first to PK from suicide. The RP, especially this past week, was intense. But it was fun, and I enjoyed playing this tragic character.
