Why do staff feel the need to permaban people for minor incidents while they let literal criminals roam about?

can a GM tell me why I was banned for 30 minutes for defending a friends honor in ooc while he was offline, and unable to defend himself? these fiends say that my man moe cybered but HE DID NOT??? I do not take kindly to slander and neither should the staff of this server so I am NOT the one who should be banned

#FreeMinion. You know, we need more intelligent men on this server live minion with the sheer brevity of mouth that allows him to spread his ideals and views in an intelligent and respectful manner. I personally feel that his ban was preformed in a BIASED manner and he should be allowed to walk the streets of Atlas once again as a free man of color.
