  1. A monster. I relent to use the term ecoterrorist, but at that moment in time for Hareven, he was vastly confused and overwhelmed with more than he was prepared for. That all turned on a head during the Portal Incident which was so mentally damaging that Lich!Lefkos had to step in and help stabilize him, with Owl helping him stand back up. He sees his mother in Owl, that’s what struck him foremost when they met. If that wasn’t there to Guide him at his lowest moments, he’d either be dead or unhinged in the not entertaining way.
  2. So when I wrote Hareven, I wrote him as a ugly, diminutive elf. A grumpy little **** who wanted to make a safe place for people to enjoy themselves in. Then I rolled and got a dwarf cause DnD logic. At the time, the two biggest Dwarf clans were Goldhands and Frosties and they were in the process of that PvP life rather than culture cause Jberg just went down and so on and so forth. Which was doubly unfortunate cause I was meant to instead of a clan, have him raised from age 5 in Courland who disappeared out from under the server for a hot minute after Jberg and all that. So instead I started him as raised back int he day in Courland, at the ripe young age of 40, with Riftblades main normie persona Velenius/Aerith, in Axios Sutica. The goal hadn’t changed and in fact, if you remember back then, I did have a small tavern in the back of Sutica. But then the Guild formed, around Hareven and just how I generally played him. The goal was still there, but he slowly realized for as many people that started relying on him, he’d need more. More what, he didnt know. So I tried finding golemancers, that was the first magic I actually wanted, but not many were actively teaching at this time, the only two holed up in Arcadia didnt want to teach a beardling that was fair. Tried for Paladinism, under the logic of “If I was trained to fight, then I could host a larger tavern and protect the people” but I got turned down for being too short. Keepers were logical beings, it’s eh. And then we moved to Krugmar and that’s where he truly started rolling. We did all those adventures, he turned druid, he was a good pure druid too for awhile, and then he broke, and got back up. It’s been a fantastic story to play out. But the Tavern is still his goal. A place where he can help people feel safe, express themselves, relax, find shelter. He lived poor circumstances. A mug of mead was a rare blessing, warm food made out of more than basic potatoes and dried meat the same. Despite him being a raging mental disaster, he’s just a grumpy fuckwit who wants to watch people be people and be happy.
  3. Ups and Downs. The exodus from the Atherys community happened, way before you came along. Gamma, Rift, Chase, etc, we all settled into the server. Around the same time my marriage to my exwife whom you knew as Iris93 happened, so I wasn’t in a good place mentally for a long time. Lot’s of instability oocly, but the rp and community here, while vitriolic, helped me along. A year or two goes by, me and another lotc’r meet. We take our time and now we’re maarried, things are better. Got alot on my plate irl right now with my grandpas death and this illness junk but I’m happier than I was 4 years ago. Sometimes it takes squeezing alot of **** to get a little bliss. Dirty non-bender.
  4. Something something cousins something something meth something something getmethefuckoutofhere
  5. Hi hello howdy it’s Keefy coming at you again with being broke as ****. Thought I got Covid, turns out instead I got da flu, double ear and lung infections, and strep throat, and as of this post, some chronic issues rising up. Ask me some **** cause I’m gonna be holed up for 2-3 weeks cause of steroid rounds and antibiotics cause the worlds on fire, and cause I can’t sleep cause of the steroids. Amuse me.
  6. One of the issues to tackle is regarding this. Simplistically, bringing on more Builders would work out to avoid repeated instances, but these are voluntary positions and a consistent guarantee that a builder will be able and willing to keep building modules-builds for dungeon crawling within the limited amount of worlds we have on the server box. In a more complex hope is that the work our techs have been putting into plugins can be utilized for dungeons. There's also the consideration of forming Instances that don't require a ST, by way of plug ins ala tech and things like parkour, to simulate experiences, though these would likely be low-riskor scenic but still available options. But with some amount of effort and luck we won't have to rely on reskinned instances across 4 dungeon hubs, thereby transitioning us into a 1990s side scroller platformer.
  7. I put 4 as the max for now because of resource allocation issues! If it pans out very well, especially in tandem with coming features by way of our techs, then we can push the envelope for more. But when it says 4, it means 4 hubs. The hubs link into build sites for a multitude of Instances. So 10 instances could theoretically exist in one hub, meaning 40 dungeon instances/unique experiences if we have 4 hubs I hope that makes sense
  8. One idea here is to implement a OOC timer on some of the Instances. Another is to close off paths that belong to certain ST so noone gets their hope up. One thing I definately had planned on Irrinor-Concept was a ooc timer per player/party, so you couldnt just spam the Dungeon, and for mid-high tier, a week long heads up requirement for entering so it wasn’t a diarrhea-run style mad dash to do an event.
  9. Hey hello hi howdy it is me, Keefy. Some of you know me, some of you don’t, maybe some like me, maybe some hate me. That **** ain’t why we’re here. Earlier this year I talked with the elven communities about reusing the Irrinor city as a Hub for a idea I had, tentatively known as Greenfly or Fae Dungeon, which never got far off it’s feet. Cause ya know demons and ****. So we’re on the borderline for map transition and the project will be finished and launched in the next map, but it got me thinking of more concepts. Let me list out the ideas and how the Concept was being planned. There would be four different stages of Dungeon, with each one being specialized so any ET could step in and run one, provided they acquire a proper build. There’s stages are basically difficulty levels -Scenic (Not any tension or concerns, mostly for flavor, maybe historical context, character building. Y’know. Field trip.tm) -Low-Risk (Tension, fights, but nothing to be overly concerned) -Mid-Risk (Let’s put this as what you experience from a regular event in terms of tension and risks, hardness of solutions) -High-Risk (Possible PK clause events, you’re dancing on fire, it’s a good/bad time) The entire reason I wanted to make such a Dungeon is for, barring high risk, there to be a easy source of events that aren’t reliant on something as commonly encountered as “If we don’t participate the world might end” cause on this server, the world ends alot. Alot of people are just numb to it. No these are meant to be “I want to go on an adventure” without needing to dip yourself in a deep story line all the time, or part of a particular playerbase. Nah just, it’s there, you interact with it, and that’s the end of the emotional investment. This works for the ET side of things as well, giving us opportunities to run events that permit creativity without worrying about World Lore outcome, barring again, High Risk, which could have that possibility. Now I’m having a **** time irl right now so I’ve been thinking way too much. To those who know me, they know this is a problem. But we’re about to start off a new map so I’m doing a C2A here. If I should write up more concepts for 3 more hubs to diversify themes applicable to this Dungeon format beyond Fae, which I picked originally cause it was what I was most familiar with, how many of you active peeps would enjoy them? Leave comments on your opinions and I’ll flip through them and address them when i can! (yes this is formatted like ****, ill bully someone into fixing it for me later)
  10. Tri please learn to format, my eyes
  11. Tldr “Stop wanting to **** things that shouldn’t be fucked”
  12. A studious being receives the missive, and pulls his notes, realizing a similarity. Rather than placing it within his home, he exits the Grove and seeks an abandoned home in the wilderness. There, he writes the symbol on a doorway, lights the hearth. And waits.
  13. Hareven just takes weapon stock like a reasonable person on the precipice of war. One of Peon imps listens in on the weird cave and leaves with more confidence than it previously held.
  14. The underbrush and forests surrounding Aegrethond and Siramenor would begin to grow eerily quiet in the months after the announcement. Odd noises would often be heard at night. And in the distance, The Peon would prepare.
  15. Me being a jackass aside, this is p solid.
  16. Any of y'all got some of that uuuuuh

  17. No. He came into the event radius. The moment you do that, you've chosen to accept the consequences of being in a land corrupted and controlled by the demons. He attempted to use the hammer and it didn't work. And he lost it in the resulting event as ran by Joel and overseen by Riftblade. Multiple ST were there. If you don't want to participate, leave the area when the message pops up in your chat.
  18. One. We can't pk you without admin greenlight unless you agree to it. We can remove you from the eventline if you prove problematic but Joel being an idiot isn't a assured pk. Two. If the only thing that makes you feel safe bringing your items into events is a soulbind, don't bring it. When it comes to player vs player aight. Big lore event? It's not going to keep your shinies safe, especially a heavily lored item. Three. This ain't map end event bruv. Four. If someone deletes this I'm posting crappy deviantart drawings of My Immortal fanfic into staff discord. Five. Good luck. Have a nice one.
  19. Hareven coughs from somewhere in the camp.
  20. Distant clapping from a particular forge by a particular strange man working for Anethra as he hears her speech.
  21. Despite the blockade, every so often the familiar outline of a man would be present on the coastlines, traveling and studying as he saw fit, and watching the developments without nary a care. A glance away for a moment and he’d be gone, sometimes leaving small sketches to be found where spotted, as harmless as can be. All signed, naming himself as The Wyrd.
