  1. WARCLAIM Wargoal: People to stop tracking dirt into my house. Attackers: Tianrui Ren Teahouse Staff Defenders: Anybody who tracks dirt into the teahouse People who wear their shoes into the teahouse Warclaim date: Indefinite War Path: Tianrui Teahouse (Inspired by the To Kill a Rick post)
  2. Taking a break from shooting monsters from over the barricades, Tianrui Ren sets his crossbow down to read the flier. "Maybe this one can tell me when we'll take the next district back!" He cheers to himself with a chuckle, picking up the crossbow once more to nail a giant spider through the head with a crunch.
  3. It is with great sorrow that Ren receives word of his old friend's death, but he remembers fondly the days that the Sutharlainn clan lived in Yong Ping. He remembers the bonds the two had worked to forge between their peoples, and the friendship they had enjoyed through meeting their goals. A letter is penned to Daibhidh's family, reading as follows. The following letter is delivered specifically to the Sutharlainn family, accompanied by a crate of plum wine and pu'er tea.
  4. Tianrui Ren smiles at the fiery flows and virtuous strength of his old friend. Surely, the Dragonkin could spit no fire hotter than the Grand Justiciar.
  5. As time would pass, Ren would find the bakery by the docks oddly quiet with no steam to be seen and the delicious scent of fresh baked goods cutting through the sea breeze to be worryingly absent. Knocking in to not find Helix, the elf's brow furrowed with worry. A further search was to be organized, for surely the jolly dwarf was simply on another trip and had forgotten to leave notice, or lost and in need of help. He leaves a note for Helix and Cuorn that reads as follows. "Dear Helix and Cuorn, I will be sending to arrange search parties for Helix. If Helix, you read this and were simply on an impromptu journey - please bird me at once to cancel this. Cuorn For Cuorn, there is a drawn map with picture of a Musin holding bread by the docks, an arrow pointing directions to the Tianrui Teahouse. Best regards, Ren"
  6. Tianrui Ren is not sure where one of his usual patrons in the teahouse was that day, a troubled frown crossing his face on receiving the news of Chang'e's death. He travels to the Temple, lighting a candle for them by the Ancestor shrine, and prays they find safe travel to the Ancestors.
  7. Tianrui Ren passes out the green tea unsweetened this week at the loss of the Dragons and the Dunes. At least the Flames had won, and the Dunes and Flames still contended for the top 4 in the Eastern Conference. The Dragons will assuredly be facing double drills back home to regain their top 4 spot on the Western Conference.
  8. Tianrui Ren punched the air at the double victory of his two favorite teams the Dragons and the Dunes! Passing complimentary honey green tea around the Providence and Yong Ping teams with congratulations on a good, clean game, he makes sure to send a congratulatory gift basket to the Krakens on their first win.
  9. Tianrui Ren is sure to congratulate both teams on a game well played with chilled green tea all around, though he makes a mental note with the new rules to start training the Dragons in some boxing weaving drills to hopefully avoid any concussions on the court.
  10. Tianrui Ren hands out a well-deserved green tea energy boost to the players of the Yong Ping Dragons and Iron'Uzg Krugs after the game! "Well played, gentlemen!"
  11. Love all the lore tie-ins! Bucketball is the lore we not only wanted, but needed.
  12. Tianrui Ren grins at seeing the results of the first round, having been closely following the Yong Ping Dragons as a part of the local youth outreach he had been sponsoring. It seems time to extend the same sponsorship to the team itself as their careers seemed prime to climb to new highs! Producing a rice paper scroll, he sends word of the Tianrui Teahouse's sponsorship to be officially recognized by the ABA before going to hang one of the team jerseys on the teahouse wall.
  13. Tianrui Ren watched on as the lifeless body of Qing Hui was brought to shore, allowed no moment of respite to grieve as the living demanded his attention. His medical bag was near empty after the first two ferries of survivors were brought across the Elvenesse channel, waters rippling orange and white from the flames that raged over the city. As the last ferries departed the city, and the sea itself began to boil, Ren did not get to see where the Hei-Zhu had been taken in the chaos. The rest of the day blurred travelling between Elysium, Yong Ping, and Urguan, the elf doing his best to tend the wounded and bring medical supplies where they were needed. As night fell over Almaris, he was able to return home. There was no sign that the noble Qing Long was returned to the monastery yet. Leaving his boots at the door, Ren walks before the shrine to Hualian. He falls into a kneel, a moment of silence held for the fallen before he lights another candle to join the many before the statue. "May you join our Ancestors with peace, Qing Long."
  14. Tianrui Ren reads over the missive, rolling it and stowing a copy in the sleeves of his hanfu. "It seems the false dragon rears its head again."
  15. Tianrui Ren looks across the missive as it comes across his desk, delivered to him by his cousins who still held the name Watanabe while he now retains his blood name. The man lingers on the memories of Ves and its time, and while he holds no current stake in what renewal of it may come to be- he still feels compelled by the past. He lifts his brush to rice paper, scribing a reply. "The Patrician House Watanabe shall be in attendance of the Duma." There is no signature save a crimson seal, the rising sun sigil emblazoned in gold.
  16. Tianrui Ren looks over the sheet, tallying his numbers from his office with Del watching over his shoulder. With a few corrections here and there from Del, they behold his final score. "Negative five hundred forty. That is impressive. Back to lowering my score!"
  17. Another Yong Ping build video, and a really nice one at that! I enjoyed the touch at the end with the Five Remembrances.
  18. Tianrui Ren would pen himself a note to visit the newly expanded Karosgrad branch of the auspicious Mareno Company.
  19. PRAISE THE ANCESTORS PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH And most importantly, high praise to Tech for working out the kinks in everything to get this out. It will be good to finally be free of Vortex, and have a new set of blocks at hand.
  20. Tianrui Ren looks up from the Ancestor Shrine in the Yong Ping Temple, a bird perching on the railing with a letter attached. Taking the letter and reading, a sigh passes his lips. He leans on the railing, letter still in hand. Another he had known dead in the same day. He had thought of Vivian of family, even if not by blood. The elf lights another candle at the shrine and tucks the letter away. So the flower blooms Leaving naught when winter comes But I remember There is much he has to do, but allowing oneself to mourn makes way for the rest. After all, nobody can pour from an empty cup.
  21. Tianrui Ren had just finished breakfast when he received word. A sigh passes his lips, the elf departing his usual schedule to pay visit to the Temple, lighting another candle beside the many that adorned the Ancestor Shrine. "Gone, but not forgotten. Rest well, Mei."
  22. Based and incredibly bardpilled. Heard of this a few times, glad to finally see it in writing! This definitely adds good flavor of extra RP for dedicated bard characters.
  23. Tianrui Ren strides through the halls of the Long Keep in Yong Ping, looking to the window as a bird arrived with missive. News of another old friend passed. The two man had their differences, but Ren solidly believed that Gail had done what he thought best in the trying times that he reigned Sovereign. He sighs, feeding the bird a handful of seed before sending it off. Trailing the quiet evening road, he casts his gaze towards the coast, to the west waters where Talon's Port rested nestled in the jungles of Idol's Garden. One of the first he had met in his time in Talon's Grotto, Gail was always a man of the community. Dedicated, hardworking, caring, and above all a good friend. It is with this in mind that Ren meditates in the Temple, lighting another candle.
