  1. Ajax Frostbeard quietly posts a new song, after getting a request from Micah Grandaxe to a melody she's known. The pages sit nailed to the door of the tavern, a copy submitted to the remembrancers, and a copy directly being handed to Micah. She as far as AJax sees, is the owner of the song. Mother's Grandaaxe Daughter I am my mother's Grandaxe Daughter One who runs barefoot through Mountain Holme I am my Mother's Grandaxe Daughter I bear wild hair, You will hear my unhampered voice! My Father's child is a warrior She strikes down drakes and bears upon stone For the sake of her hearth, her kingdom and clan She hunts boars and strips meat to the bone! I am my mother's Grandaxe Daughter One who runs barefoot through Mountain Holme I am my Mother's Grandaxe Daughter I bear wild hair, You will hear my unhampered voice! My Grandaxe child dances with iron She sings battle songs in the light of the moon And under the stars stakes her claim in white granite and dreams of the glory she will bring home soon. I am my mother's Grandaxe Daughter One who runs barefoot through Mountain Holme I am my Mother's Grandaxe Daughter I bear wild hair, You will hear my unhampered voice! Urguan brought us all forth out of darkness Into this world of Metal and of stone And deep in our hearts is a fire is waking So sing a thunderous song from our mountain throne We are our Mother's Grandaxe Daughters The ones whom run barefoot through mountain holme We are our mother's Grandaxe daughters We bear wild hair, You will hear our unhampered voice! We are our Mother's Grandaxe Daughters The ones whom run barefoot through mountain holme We are our mother's Grandaxe daughters We bear wild hair, You will hear our unhampered voice! We are our Mother's Grandaxe Daughters The ones whom run barefoot through mountain holme We are our mother's Grandaxe daughters We bear wild hair, You will hear our unhampered voice!
  2. Ajax Frostbeard. Still hard at work with his quill, churns out a quick lullaby like song at the request of Brog Frostbeard after hearing a melody some time a while back. Adding lyrics, and intended to be sung by a group of men, he found these fitting. [Art by Drangmir on Pinterest] A Song of The Cavalry: 'Clanfather told me' [Lyrics by :Ajax Frostbeard] [Vocals by: Brog Frostbeard] Clanfather told me Some day I would buy War-rams with good horns Bring umros to mourn Mounted upon his back, noble beast I steer Steady drive towards Oren lancing the humen Afterwards with a fair amount of Free time, AJax's sights turned to his hardworking peers in the mine, remembering having been mining without surfacing for years at a time back in the last few centuries of the first age. He took a modest amount of time churning out a shanty for the miners to sing as they return home from their work. [Art By Michal Stawowy on Pinterest] The Song of Miners End: Leave Her Kronul! Lyrics: Ajax Frostbeard Oh the work was long ,and the pit was low Leave her Kronul Leave her! But now it's time for us to go and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh I thought I heard the foreman say Leave Her Kronul, leave her! That tomorrow you, will get yer pay And It's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh the pit was deep, and it reeked of lye Leave her Kronul, Leave her! We stripped it clean, and left her dry and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh The foreman swears and the driver too. Leave her Kronul Leave her! The whole guilds swears, and so would you and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh the timbers laid are like the crew Leave her Kronul Leave her! They're all worn out, and will not do and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her I Hate to work in this facken tomb Leave her Kronul Leave her! One fell blow, will spell our doom. And it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh I pray that we shall ne'er more see Leave her Kronul Leave her! An awful hole, the likes of she! and it's time for us to leaver ! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her
  3. Once again, like days before, Ajax Frostbeard remains busy at work. After being inspired with his return to dwedmar society, he has continued his songwriting. Eventually after another few days have passed, he posted in the tavern, as well as submitting a copy to the remembrancers his newest song; Urguan the Brave Let Elvenese boast of their shimmering waters their trees and their plains and her gentle blue skies Their sons white as doves, and soft spoken daughters, where gentleness dwells, amidst soft gentle sighs. Urguan's White mountains wild where staggerin' cliffs are piled Towering majesty calls forth tae me, Land of heads unbowed, land of the misty shroud, land of the brave and proud, Karaz akaneh. Enthroned in the depth of our great hulking fountain the Grand King of Urguan reigns fearless and free. His gray banner waving, o'er hillocks and mountain and proudly he sings, looking over the sea. Here among our Grand halls tiled, I have serenely smiled, As armies and empires against us were hurled, Strong as our native rock, we have endured the shock, of Orc lands, of Oren, of Elves, and the world! But see how proudly his War-rams are prancing, Weak human steel, trodden down by their wrath. The eyes of my sons, like their great axes glancing Triumphantly marching through ruin and death. Brave hearts and Kharadun many krazdran we have won With defiant roar, does the Gray Banner wave Khazadmar in ranks of steel Dire is the war-ram's wheel, Victorious in battlefield Urguan ok Grum Brave hearts and Kharadun many krazdran we have won With defiant roar, does the Gray Banner wave Khazadmar in ranks of steel Dire is the war-ram's wheel, Victorious in battlefield Urguan ok Grum Victorious in battlefield Urguan ok Grum
  4. Ajax Frostbeard, adopted son of Verthaik II, reunited in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan sat in a small cubby, inspired with his return to live with his kin and hearing of a recent drive to bolster the Kingdom's legion, composed a song for the brave legionnaires. Taking a fair amount of time and rewriting to get the meter right, as he is not traditionally a minstrel or writer, finally completes his work in the 15th of Sun's Smile. Year 8 of the Second age, having spent approximately 3 days on it. Excitedly the Dwarf both submits a copy to the remembrancers and one he nails to the doors of the tavern. [Tavern art by mhazaru on Deviantart. I do not own this image] The Khazad Legionnaires Me name is Dwalin Irongut, I'm a native of the holme Was born in the walls of urguan, as a babe the halls I'd roam. 5. The Legion Smithing Tournament A letter would be pinned to the notice board of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, telling of the upcoming Smithing Tournament hosted by the Legion of Urguan. Dwarven military might is only as good as the skill of its smiths. For every piece of armor worn by legionnaires must be able to withstand the ferocity of battle and every weapon must be able to pierce through the armor of our foes. For this reason the Legion High Command wishes to find the finest dwarven smiths within the legion and commend them for their hard work. The event will be hosted by Commander Durorn Ireheart, and all are welcomed to spectate and cheer on their fellow clansmen. Though only registered legionnaires are able to compete in the actual tournament. The Tournament All registered contestants will have until the Tournament day to craft their finest weapons and present it in front of the judges. The judges consist of myself, Durorn Ireheart, and two others. Each weapon will be judged based on three things, it’s appearance (decoration), durability, and quality. The requirement for the weapon is that it must be made of a majority of ferrum. Test of Durability In this test, your weapon must be able to pierce or slash through various materials without breaking. OOC: Must roll above a certain preset number to break through the materials, though do not worry this will most likely be used to discriminate between close scores and not so much your overall score. Date: Sunday at 3PM EST Grand Prizes First Place Awarded the Medal “Finest Legion Smith” A prize of 100 minas Gain 100 honor Second Place A prize of 50 minas Gain 50 Honor A good ol’ pat on the back from Durorn Ireheart To Register IGN: RP Name: Rank in the Legion: Do you agree to the rules of the competition? OOC Rules & Notes 1) The weapon must be made through valid roleplay, and be of your OWN work (it can be a pre-existing item). 2) The Judges will base most of your work off your description but will also require a test of durability and quality.

  8. Dungrimm's Folk “The day that we forsake unity for petty rivalries and greed is the day we fall. I end this book with only words that I wish for all dwarves to one day heed. Stand as one and we are capable of achieving any length of greatness. Stand alone however and we will die alone.” Paragon Valen Grandaxe, Shortly before ascent to the halls of Khaz'A'Dentrumm Dungrimm’s folk are a weathered company of Urguanite elites, conceived to rid Urguan of the foul beasts that lurk in the snowy mountains of Kal’Nikaer. The Folk have had several unsuccessful incarnations in modern history, but find true cause in the current events surrounding the Grand Kingdom. Once wearing Dungrimm’s tabard, all Folk are Kin, loyal to the cause. Whilst encouraged to appreciate their heritage and their own clans, a conscript pledges themselves solely as servants to the Brathmordakin and the Folk whilst in active service. Dungrimm’s folk strive to entertain an era of purity and prosperity in Urguan, ridding corruption from all corners of Axios. Whilst its loyalties lie with the Brathmordakin, the Folk rally to just causes of the Grand Kingdom. It is their desire to preserve Yemekar’s balance and ensure the Grand Kingdom endures through all adversities. ‘To my dearest Kerwyr, Look not to feud those within our own halls; our politics, our in fighting, it is all pointless now. A darkness rises in the east, one that we cannot crush whilst in disagreement - one that threatens the balance of all that is decent in our world. We unite under two common enemies. Heed my words now, for what I write will no doubt alter the course of your lives; it is with a heavy heart that I ask this of you. The land lays riddled with beasts of the void, it is plagued with the spawn of a daemon, it is your duty to ensure Urguan is free of these behemoths and undeads. You must form a band. Select well, for those you choose now will stand beside you in the bleakest of times. Pick only the bravest, strongest Urguanites the Grand Kingdom has to offer. Train them in the mountains, teach them of the Brathmordakin, educate them of the Folk. It has failed before, but not this time. The strength of Dungrimm will enable us, a small but faithful band, to overcome the multitude of the faithless. Dungrim bless you brother, Velwyn Ireheart.’ -A letter scribed by Velwyn Ireheart to Kerwyr Frostbeard Faith Dungrimm tests us, he tries our faith. He shows us the path when it doesn’t seem clear. We must serve him now if we wish for him to guide us to his fortress in the seven skies. If we live with conviction and faith, we will be rewarded. The Brathmordakin spoil us, they have created us to live as their servants, to act as their ambassadors to the mortal realm. It is our duty, as protectorates of Urguan, to repay those who rule so fairly over us. To pay homage is no burden, it is an honor as sentient and intelligent beings; allowing yourselves to be encompassed by the great aura of the pantheon is a true celebration. ‘Lay thine axe upon the gilded sigil, adorned upon the tallest peak of the steepest mountain, and you will be blessed by him. He will see your strength, he will feel your courage, and you will feel his will. When you return, reborn from your pilgrimage, then will you be true of heart and pure of mind. Folk of Dungrimm.’ -Blessed prayer, sermon of an unblooded Folk. Notable Slayings Dungrimm’s Bane - Whilst the undead launch a second attack on Kal’Agnar, incumbent Marshal and Grand King Vorstag Ireheart duels a large Khorvad spawn to reclaim the fabled ‘Armor of Urguan’ and repel the undead legion from Urguanite land. Whilst successful, the creature slays Vorstag in a bloody conflict that leads both combatants dead. Frost Trolls - An expedition to the northern mountains of Athera leads several of Dungrimm’s Folk into a chilling battle between troll and dwed. Whilst limited in numbers, the Folk made use of structurally vulnerable cave systems to crush their opponents, retaining all dwed life. Demigryph - A Frostbeard patrol headed by Marshal Kerwyr Frostbeard is ambushed by a corrupted bandit atop a demigryph. In the steep conditions of Kal’Nikaer, Kerwyr is almost slain but executes the bandit and their corrupted mount. The events following this particular incursion, encounters with pale knights and mounted ghouls led to the third reformation of Dungrimm’s Folk. Medals & Honors Medal of Dungrimm Awarded for showing gallantry in battle Medal of Urguan Awarded for showing brotherhood in all fields Medal of Victory Awarded for leading consecutive victories. 9. Brothers and sisters of Urguan, the time of living in contentment in filth is over. No longer will shanty stone villages will do, with no walls to protect ourselves, while our Legion falls to petty raiders! ---HISTORY--- In the events of several military tragedies, the new reign of a king, the civil war, and the inactivity of the military, Dulgrim Doomforged has put aside his career as a Legate, in the Urguan Legion, and his clan, to devote himself into completing what no one else would do. Upon seeing people complaining about what they could do to help Urguan or what they could change, he has begun a movement to doing so, by creating the Masons Guild, an Organization that prides itself to improve Urguan into a better tomorrow, by any means, while working with other Urguan guilds and leaders for varied projects. - "As meh fathah alwehs bi sayin', 'if'n nae be un else willen tae dae wurk, du et yeself, t'at be w'at be makin' a real man.'" -Dulgrim Doomforged ---PURPOSE--- Our goal is to redo the shabby old Urguan and to create the best of dwarven architecture for Urguans future. Whether it is Architecture or Engineering, we are working together with both the military Grand Marshal Rhrewen, and Grand King Skippy to both, suggest projects and to add in tips when needed about how to proceed best for the construction of several future projects, our first would be the new wall and gate with a new pathway. We range from anything civilian to military, in all various shapes and sizes, from forts to libraries, anything to be compensated for, we can build it. ---JOINING--- If you are willing to join, here are some things to keep in mind before signing up. We have three and only three types of members in the guild, Builders, Engineers and Gatherers/smelters. Builders are required to submit a test, that will be given out by the Head Mason, the leader of the Masons Guild.Engineerings will have to prove they understand a basic-advanced understand of redstone and commands to use machinery in both OOC and RP.Gathers and Smelters must be ready and fill the chests and needs of their guild brothers. The Head Mason shall give out the projects, any members looking to work solo without any acknowledgement from the Head Mason or the Elitists of the Guild will be punished. There are two types of ranks per each class, Regulars and Elitists. Regulars will do whatever work of any variety, while the Elitists shall be the first for any major projects, such as a statue the size of every dwarves ego.
