[Oren Public Works] Road Construction Project

By decree of the Lord Steward,

 

The existing road network that connects the various towns and areas of interest within Oren has been deemed inadaquate and a public project shall be enabled to build a new network, that we may connect Oren in a proper way.

 

This project shall be run in a number of seperate stages:

 

• Planned outlining of the new network.

 

Markers shall be placed through the realm, to denote where the roads will lead, as indicators for the
construction crews.

 

• Construction of roads within Oren.

 

Construction gangs shall be formed and put to work, either building sections of road, or collecting the
materials needed for them.

 

• Planned outlining of roads connecting Oren to the various other Nations.

 

Lastly, pending diplomatic approval and relations, roads shall be planned and constructed to link the new network with other places bordering Oren, such as Herendul, the new Cloud Temple complex and the Elven lands.

 

Point of note: The Orkish settlement of Gronkkston, while an independant enclave, does sit “within” Oren land and as keen observers will note, the planned Oren-interior-network will run past it, thereby connecting to it.

How to get involved:

 

Able-bodied and eager workers should seek out Joseph Lane. He may be found in Abresi, or on-site for this project itself, depending on the hour of the day.

 

Note that Joseph Lane, in his role as Lord Steward, is in charge of assigning Foremen and pairing them with workers crews. Make sure to follow all directions given at all times.

 

Payment shall be given to each gang of workers, with every full one-hundred lengths of road earning a gang 500 minas. (100 block-lengths of road, road itself being of sufficient width.)

 

Roads -must- be constructed in the approved manner. For reference, one should seek out the first

completed section of road, connecting Abresi and Cavan. (blue on the map)

 

Spirited workers are encouraged to form themselves into groups, as a task shared is a labour burdened only by increased enjoyment.
