Instead of 'fixing' issues you won't be able to fix, why don't you actually help the community with their support threads, feedback on restrictions, and hurry up with 4.0?

I'm going to have to go with option 2. I hardly use the status updates as it is and a chat room just sounds like a great idea in general. I also agree on the addition of the "Quick News" to give out information to players of anything that might be happening on the server at that given time.

~+1~

Oh yes, another sub forum great idea, I don't think we have enough yet.

BUT, a chat room actually sounds like a good idea.

EDIT: Misread the OP. Sounds like a great ideas tbh. Also sorry for my sarcasm :P

Except we are able to fix this, seeing as we have the power to remove status updates and implement both of the proposed changes. Additionally, taking the time to do this takes little to no time away from helping the community with their issues and feedback, and it certainly won't have any impact on the external factors which are affecting the current state of 4.0's development.

It wouldn't be a subforum, Quick News would look exactly like status updates look like now. If you're instead referring to the Chat Room, that wouldn't be on the forums anymore than our Wiki is, but rather it would be linked and connected to it. Also, the sarcasm really isn't achieving anything other than annoying us, so please at least attempt to be mature in your responses.

How about you don't remove status updates, but instead give FMs more power and control over statuses. Let's face it. The only reason drama even occurs on statuses, the only reason people troll with statuses is because they know FMs can do very little to stop them. I could make a trolly status right now, and if I was lucky to have an admin not online, I might actually get away with it.

Why is it that when Aislin posts a thread, within a day, there is a change: but when anyone else does, it takes countless months? I mean no disrespect, but it's a bit Jimmie-rustling.

I would really like our status updates kept. Instead of removing them, how about some stricter moderation on status Updates. Lets give the FMs something to do.

You are one of the people who constantly cause drama by misusing status updates. If you want me to moderate every single one of your status updates, then that's perfectly fine but screaming "oppression!!!11one!" whenever we remove any unneeded content is the result of status update moderation or "staff ab00se" as some may call it.

Maybe it has less to do with the fact that Aislin is the one posting those threads and more to do with the fact that he and the staff are like minded in numerous ways. If he has a plethora of good ideas, then we will consider them regardless of whether or not he is the one that is proposing them. If others have good ideas as well, then we will listen to them too, while those that have less than appropriate ideas will not be listened to as eagerly.

Alan, and the rest of the staff for that matter.

Keep in mind that everything can and will be misused. Especially with certain people around.

Normally I do not go heavily against things the staff says as I normally is certain that they're doing what is right. However I do not see the need for this as it is a great way to communicate. A chat box would mean that people needed to be online when they tried to get a message across.

Where on status updates you can tab in and out whenever you want to.

Also, it's just in general a nice thing to have,

Keep status updates, but add the News shout out, staff only thing too.

Keep in mind that this is a feedback thread for a reason. You having an opinion that differs from our own does not equate to "going against the staff", and we encourage you to say whatever is on your mind. This thread presents our idea, but it does not mean we will be going with it, as it is clear there is a ton of differing opinions from our own. ^^

Alan, just give FMs more power over status updates. A removal or a change is hardly necessary IMO.
