*Aldal stands before the Grand King, Indago Stormhammer, to discuss an idea he has had* ((Written in common for easier understanding))

"Grand King, I have had an idea which I would like to discuss with you. I seek your permission to start an important guild for the dwedmar public: the Dwarven Cultural Society. The aims of this guild would be to protect the culture, language and traditions of the dwarves and pass them on to the young.

The guild would focus on several main aspects of dwarven culture: Language, Smithing, Brewing and Ale, Mining, History and The Arts. An expert in each of these aspects would be employed within the guild to pass on knowledge of these subjects to those who are interested. These experts would all form the Cultural Council, a council that creates ideas and suggestions for the protection of our culture.

Therefore, the council would be comprised of six members. However, a seventh, the Overseer, would also be a member. I would like to take up this position as the founder of the guild. My job would be to oversee the day-to-day business of the guild.

If you are so kind to accept my idea and allow me to form this guild, I have another request. Kal'Ithrun's tavern is empty most of the time now, not like the old days when the tavern was always a hub of our population. I would request that you allow me to use the tavern as a base of operations for the Society.

I thank you for listening to my suggestion, and I hope you think that this idea will have a positive outcome for our people."

((Basically, dwarves now seem to get most of their RP through war and battles. I think it would be a good idea for us to "return to our roots" and become known once again for the things that dwarves are supposed to be known for.))

Patrique de Rosaen, eavesdropping the conversation, mutters to himself

"They are stealing my ideas... Should I brand them as witches so they get hunted on?"

Patrique scratches his chin as he takes a deep breath behind the pillar

"Nah, too complicated, I will send an invite once we are set up"

Bazian steps into the room in the back and nods in approval to the Grand King once he notices him.

*Aldal Ireheart coughs awkwardly*

((Just replying so that this can be brought to the top of Dwarven Roleplay so people can say what they think about this idea :)  ))

Farrren shakes his head as he listens to the young dwarf

"Bah! T'is is basicleh tu Kings Council, except tu onleh differance is t'at tu King is tu overseer. Ah say we just re look at our guilds an try an improve 'em. No need fer t'is w'en weh essentialleh 'ave t'is alreadeh. We just need tu actualleh work wif tu system we ave. Instead ov removin it an puttin it back in again under ah differant name. So ah vote nae, we need tu just beh more proactive wif our current systems. An' actualeh follow tu regulations stated in tu articles. T'is is nae needed, because we've alreadeh got it.

An nae tu t'eh guild. Ah see nae point, isn't it  tu job ov tu Remembrancers an Clergeh tu preserve our way ov life? Spreadin it tu all t'ey can? T'is guild is nae needed... But ah agree wif tu tavern meetins. Ave been in too maneh ov t'ese Kings Councils meetin w'ere we run out ov ale. Tu closer we're tu t'eh drink. Tu better tu meetin."

*Aldal Ireheart turns to Farren*

"Ah respect yehr opinion Farren, but ah actualleh disagree. Ah never knew there were representatives on deh King's Council fehr keepin' our language aloive? Or ale fehr that matter? Or moinin'? Or e'en deh Arts? As yeh can see, these beh completleh different positions. Whoile deh King's Council are concerned with runnin' their guilds, the Cultural Council would onleh beh created tehr pass on some teachin's teh deh young, or any'un else who wants tehr learn. Weh're nae talkin' 'bout trainin' any'un teh beh master smiths 'ere, onleh teh give 'em an interest in deh culture of their forefathers!"
