((A Morale Boost))

I've been thinking. Given how rough things have been in orc rp with so many well-known orcs dying, a morale boost may be in order. When seeing all these people perma-killing their orcs, there may be a tendency to think "Well, that's it. Orc rp is dying." But, every group has its low points, and the orcs have been through rough patches before. Our rp does not live or die by the actions of a handful of players who got bored and quit on us. So, having said all that, I'll get to the point. There's already a post discussing how to improve orc rp (http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/100003-oocsuggestions-and-feedback-for-the-orcsyolo-everyone-else-is-doing-it/). This post is to get your opinions of what you already love about orc rp. I'm hoping to reinvigorate the orc players by reminding them of the positive points of orcish roleplay. So, let's hear it. What do you like about playing an orc? Why would you recommend it to other people?

I'm not entirely sure why, but I love eating as an Orc. Since they supposedly eat in a very messy manner, I enjoy making it as messy as possible. Then I'd love the whole, head bunt greeting thing. I don't really see it used, but it was sure fun to use when I did ((At one time)) play an orc to do so. It's also got to be ((In my opinion)) the most creative of all the races. From it's past where the first had his appearance changed along with his personality to be blood thirsty, to the fact they speak blah. All of it, to me, seems very appealing at times. Well, hope this post of fun things I like about the orc helps all of you aspiring orcs.

Oh yeah...  totally off topic but...

First!

Thanks for being first lol. Also, yes eating as an orc is fun, and the language and culture are very unique.

The weaponry. Lol not really. As an orc (not for a long time) I enjoyed the culture, how orcs uphold honor. It has a I don't know just a, well I don't know, It's cool, same as the hatred for all other races.

All the chill folks I got to hang around with throughout my year and a half as an orc player. Honestly, our race isn't made up by the culture, or even by our roleplay, it's defined by the OOC mindset of those who decide to stick around. It's been a shame to see some of those guys taking a bow the last few days, hell even I don't play all that often anymore. But I think for now it's time that a new generation of orcish players takes the reins!

Good things

-I got a enormous farm for 1400 Minas

-The orcs are a awesome community

-Orcs are unique, in language, in building, etc.

-Blah can be used as a code to Pinkiez

-Blah may be hard to understand, start talking, etc. But when you understand it, Hellfiazz comes. Its not really hard to get it, but he is a good player to rp with, sometimes i don't understand what he write.

-Feared.

-Much sexy

-Elphaba should teach me elementalism

-They have good horses in all situations. (JadeKadoa)

-Much creative, wow.

Bad things

-Nothing

-Nothing

-Nothing

Well... not all the perma-killers are quitting. I did perma-kill my orc but not because I thought Orc-RP was dying... because I wanted to play a male orc instead :P (Fe-Orcs are no fun. Besides, only like 3 people knew Kee'sha ICly and two of those three are dead now lol) And so was born, Thunk'Ugluk. I just haven't been able to RP in like two weeks cuz my computer's been dead :(

But anyways, what I love about Orcs.

- The Community

Had to be first, out of every other race - Orcs take the cake for most awesome player-base

- Culture & Lore

I could write ten posts on how much I love the orc culture and lore. It was what originally made me apply for an orc back in Asulon. I'm sure some could argue, but honestly how much background and history orc's had as a race was what made it a very easy transition from Mori (Who had like a whole wiki of lore o.o) or Draenei before that back on WoW (Who have several hundreds of thousands of years of lore). I guess I just like races that force me to do a lot of reading ^^

- San'Orka

I never got to RP there, but this has to be one of the most beautiful Orcish builds I've ever seen. I actually lived there for three days when I was a newb orc before Gooms told me the orcs had moved to Gronkkston months ago. I would love to find a reason to RP there... with other people, not just myself >.<

- The Blah

And I just had to throw the blah in here too, even though everyone says I'm the only orc to ever make the blah look stupid-er (If that's even possible) I still love it :)

So those are my reasons, hopefully we can get everyone spinning again by the time my new computer gets here. :D

Glad to hear that. Has Thunk been born into the Ugluks as Kee'sha's cub, or is he going to be contacting the Ugluks for membership when you get the chance to rp him?

Well I never asked permission from her mate oocly to have a son and she wasn't ever pregnant. I actually mentioned him once or twice in rp though as her sister's cub (Keesha's mother was related to Pok) so I considered him an ugluk by blood.
