Alderium 20 Share Posted December 19, 2013 I was told that in order to create a soulstone pillar you need to be a donor of at least 100. Is this true? And if so is it against the rules to have someone make one for you? I'd be willing to pay for the person to do so if the price is reasonable.
DruinsBane 240 Share Posted December 19, 2013 Don't quote me but I think its within the rules, its something they can create and you're paying them so it only seems as a bonus to the Donor.
Lago 2572 Share Posted December 19, 2013 Green soulstone pillars are meant to be for nations and occasionally towns, yet there seem to be some staff who are very liberal with that definition. I see greensouls in literally every settlement I come across, even "Wilds" ones. They shouldn't be there. It completely undermines the Redsoul pillar donator perk. The Mage's College sure as hell shouldn't have a greensoul pillar.http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/97581 Redsoul pillars are a donator perk and any VIP can place one. So yes, you could get a VIP to place a redsoul pillar for you, but they'd be the one who managed it and they wouldn't be able to place another. domainoft 191 Share Posted December 19, 2013 Agreed with Lago, Only the 4 capitals should have greenstone pillars. If another city, fort, guild, or make believe nation can't find a member to join its ranks willing to use their Red pillar...they will learn to love the scenery as they walk to their establishment. Heff 2460 Share Posted December 20, 2013 Not only the 4 capitals! The 5 capitals (don't forget about us halflings)
Pinsir99 526 Share Posted December 20, 2013 Not only the 4 capitals! The 5 capitals (don't forget about us halflings) If you counted the halflings, you have to count the High Elves and make it six, which I think is fine.
domainoft 191 Share Posted December 20, 2013 Or count neither, A price to pay for being not one of the 4. I'm sure the halflings and High Elves have more than enough VIP's in their ranks to set up Red Pillars...When we start making exceptions for some, we open the door for all. Nothing personal against either subrace.
Lago 2572 Share Posted December 20, 2013 If you counted the halflings, you have to count the High Elves and make it six, which I think is fine. Given the destruction of Haelunor and Karakatua, it would still be five. Unless you count Adunians but I haven't heard from them in ages.

Nothing personal against either subrace. A. We don't have donators considering we are a low (steadily increasing) population atm B. We are not a sub race. domainoft 191 Share Posted December 21, 2013 If your population is that low, perhaps your not ready for a Emerald Pillar yet. We should have some minimum number of active players before Green pillars are given out. I would not punish the little halflings without the same warning to other races. If the Orcs numbers fall below a certain point, I'd expect all sorts of nasty creatures to begin inhabiting their city, ruining the purity of their pillar. Perhaps as a nation they would die off completely if no one was willing to play as their race. This is the side effect of everyone wanting to play only where everyone else is, instead of creating something to attract others toward them.
Dohvi 622 Share Posted December 21, 2013 The High Elves were given a pillar back when it was only the capital cities that had them. Now that they're mixed in with New Malinor, they have no need for one, so aren't a relevant argument anymore. Seeing as the Halflings qualify for a land slot in 4.0, it makes little sense that they wouldn't qualify for a soul pillar. Other than that though, it should really only be the main races. domainoft 191 Share Posted December 21, 2013 None of this is really relevant in 4.0 with all the races being so close to each other.
Terafir 90 Share Posted December 23, 2013 In response to your original question... I don't know the requirements for getting a regular soulstone pillar. That would be determined by Admins/GMs I think. As for redsoul pillars, I see no reason you cannot contact a Diamond VIP or higher (Yes it's $100 for diamond) to set up a redsoul pillar for you. Although remember that only a certain number of people could be bound to it, and I'm curious as to whether there is a limit to the number of redsoul pillars one can create. I hope this helps, I'll try and answer any other questions that you post. Edit: Thanks, Domainoft, there you go. Only 1 pillar. Perhaps because of this, you may have to pay a small fee every two weeks or so to keep it running, but if you have a town or something uou could just enforce taxes to pay for it. domainoft 191 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Yes 1 pillar per donator.
Neri 3590 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Only capitols get Soul Pillars. Vip's above 100 (diamond) get a redsoul pillar that has a 5 player limit on soul-bindings. I have one in the Lumidrium's mines!
