Gonna bump this since I haven't gotten any replies and am still rather curious about if anyone might have a solution.

I'm looking for help finding a way to disable light sources but not the blocks in minecraft. I'm using the latest snapshot which includes end rods that emit light like torches. I have some concepts for the blocks but I'm using them in a dark area and don't want them to emit any light. So if anyone has a trick to disabling this that would be appreciated.

Disabled the firewall and it did not solve the problem. I was on only 3 or so days ago once the new map opened.

My firewall is handled through Kaspersky which doesn't allow me to use the control panel to open those ports. I'm not great with technology so I don't know how to open that specific port with Kaspersky

Yeah, I tried that and I'll try it again now. I'll edit my post with the result once its done restarting. Restarting didn't help either.

I've been having issues connecting to the server for a couple hours now. It appears no one else is having these problems. I've tried two ips mc.lotc.co and login.lordofthecraft.net and I get the same error from them. Connection refused: no further information I did a search online for this problem and came up with this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUD40pAV8WE I've done as the video suggested testing a connection to another server and nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
