Seeking Noble Warriors For Hire!

 Share

Recommended Posts

A flier posted at the Nations' Crossing, and at the front gate of Malinor reads as follows.

"Are you a rouge blade, seeking security among peaceable, rational people? Are you tired of boring guard assignments, for officials you detest? Are you seeking a home of peace, among the greens and browns of nature's embrace?

The Lion's Hearth Inn is now seeking skilled warriors to protect the Nations' Crossing, and its peaceful inhabitants from the villainy that often plagues its streets. You will be offered a plot of land to make your home, a stock of weapons which we can provide free of charge (including golden blades and iron), and a place to keep your horse; with a stable groom included to ensure your mount is well cared for. Your food will be provided from Druidic Harvests, meaning that you will eat the best foods the land while you provide as you do all of Anthos a great service. Isabella Deathsbane, a skilled surgeon, resides in the inn, and will care for any wounds you receive in the line of duty. Her expertise include Druidic Healing, alchemetic healing, and mundane healing, making it highly likely that you will survive even the most horrible of injuries unscathed.

Know that you will be under the direction of Wolf Druid Ouity Deathsbane, a veteran warrior who would be more than happy to train others in the use of axes and blades. Know that your home would be made in Druid tended forests, and that it would need to be made in such a way that it coexists with the nature around it. Tree-houses strongly recommended to avoid the undead who often roam our forests. Know that should you chose to take up this post, you will be obligated to defend Lion's Hearth Inn, as well as the Druids' Grove, and the Orphanage which both exist close by, not ten seconds' walk away from the inn. Both hold defenseless innocents who require protection from aggressors. Know that other services will hopefully be available to any warriors who take up this post soon, we expect to gather blacksmiths, farmhands, and even other civilians who seek protection. You will be helping to keep safe all those who need it most. Innocent Druids seeking peace, the half a dozen orphans who reside in Lion's Hearth, as well as the uncounted others who reside in the orphanage.

If ye are of elvish nature, seeking to rediscover the heritage of your people, to be free of the stone and mortar so popular to your kind, the Druids are ready and willing to instruct you in how to reside peacefully with nature. Should you accept, you too will be given a place to live. This invitation is also extended to anybody who wishes to learn their true place within the great realm of the Aspects.

Know that should you come to live under our canopy, it will be expected and required that you treat everybody around you with the respect deserving of their station. Ye will be expected to handle tense situations with tact and grace which will avert conflict with other nations when possible, and to keep an honorable bearing, free of criminal activity. If interested, please come to the inn, located just off of the Crossing. It is discernible by its stone roof, and the abundance of flowers around it.

Isabella tilts her head as she spots the poster.

"Oh, this is what he meant..."

Her eyes settle on the section about her, her cheeks flushing a light pink.

"Oh, you," she says to no one in particular.

Falson Dwem, feels his elven ears as he reads that part and huffs slightly. Then he recalls the part about free shelter, healing, weaponry and armor...Hm...He could use a horse, but...

He sends a letter to the Druid in charge, nodding sharply as he sends the bird off.

A letter is send to Ouity, carried by Hawk and delivered, if it would be able to track him down that is, soon.

"

The Reformers puts value into noble acts such as these.

It will be noted and we will put up both sword and mind to help protect the Descendant Four from any harm that may come to them. Even from their own.

I shall attempt to contact you, face to face, as soon as possible.

However do note that it is a service we provide.

Any business that may occur outside of this will be treated differently.

"

Signed.

~ The Reverent Master Former, John Lartius Fredfort.

*On the way back to Malinor, Vincent's eye catches the words "Noble Warriors" on a notice board, and leans in closer for a look*

...

"Hm, If only I wasn't so conflicted with everything going on, and my life being that much simpler. Still, I put my faith in the local Men-at-Arms around here to do the right thing and answer the call".

*Vincent then dots his finger in a 4 point movement. Head, Chest, Left Shoulder &Right Shoulder, making a cross patern, before uttering the words.*

"May the True Faith preserve you all"

Before continuing his journey back.
