Wanted: Inn Keeper

The County of Schattenburg (ruled over by his lordship, Count Stafyr) is looking for an inn keeper.

 

Requirements are as follows:

 

     - Innkeeper must build and maintain an inn in good condition.  It should house new comers to Schattenburg until they can be assigned housing, as well as passers through.  It must uphold the laws and actively encourage those whom use the facility to do so as well.  The main purpose will be for housing as an inn, although a small tavern on the base floor may be allowed (according to the Count's wishes - no guarantees).

     - Inn must be properly staffed and access must be given to those allowed to set up new residents.  Signs above the rooms with occupant information must be maintained for the organized administration of his lordships holdings.  Audits will be conducted by the appropriate officials, and failure to follow policies may result in revokation of inn priviledge. 

    - Land rental (the Count owns the land with the blessing of his majesty, the king) is currently tax free in Schattenburg.  However, there is a requirement to help and contribute to the community in order to maintain the tax free status.  As innkeeper, new citizens shall not be charged for their rooms.  Passers by, however, may be charged.  This maintaining of free rooms will constitute contribution to the township, unless they are deemed no longer needed.  Any incremental income from sales of other items is not forbidden.

    - The plot provided measures 154 square meters (approximately) per floor/level.

    - Inactivity on part of the Inn Keeper, or any residents in the inn for that matter, will result in eviction, redistribution of land holdings to other more qualified residents. 

    - When building inn, it must match the current building style of the town.

   - Qualifications should be submitted to Bailiff Jacob Frost ((post in this topic)) and will be considered by his lordship over the next unspecified time period.  Once a decision is made it will be updated herein on this poster.  Please include name, experiences relevant, any business plan (including how you plan to make money for yourself and provide the building considering you will be required to house residents for free until they are assigned plots/housing), and any other information that you consider relevant.  ((please also include whether or not your inn keeper is your main character))

   - All of the above terms are subject to change without notification by order of his lordship, Count Stafyr.  If they are changed, this poster will be updated.  Applicants are encouraged to re-read this poster over the next few days to make sure the terms have not been changed.
