The Aftermath

Earth, 2351 A.D.

 

Nearly three hundred years ago, the planet was plunged into chaos by the warring empires of Earth. The German Kaiserreich, the Indo-Japanese Empire, and others managed to destroy the plant with their weapons of mass destruction, just as the Ascardian threat had predicted. After three hundred years, small groups of survivors have come together in the ruins of this shattered planet, hoping one day to bring back civilization from the brink.

 

The world has changed since the war, the waters from the great flood mostly receding, however large pockets of the planet are covered in radiation from the series of nuclear blasts which detonated worldwide. The virus released by the Indo-Japanese Empire has long since faded away, however its effects on the current population of Earth are still felt. The population of Earth, infected with the disease, has become slightly shorter than their ancestors, the average height of a human male being only 5’10” and females 5’7”. The normal life expectancy of a perfectly healthy human has also shortened by nearly thirty years world wide.

The first years after the war were devastating, the human race losing nearly 96% of its population in a time frame of less than three years. Following the last cases of a-7, survivors became less hostile, forming groups of civilized peoples, relying on each other to survive. After another hundred years, the waters from the great flood began to recede, once great coastal cities revealing their looming shells, large amounts of these cities entirely destroyed. After two-hundred years, small nations began to form, relying mostly on solar energy and wind power to fuel their settlements. Now even cities begin to pop up, trade between settlements relying on rivers and makeshift automobiles. It is time again for civilizations to rise.

 

RULES

- No drastic technological advances (ie. no super weapons, no lasers, no super tanks and stuff) -

- Expansion should be slow and controlled, diplomacy is emphasized in this FRP -

- Powergaming is strictly enforced in if you read the rules put “praise pok” in your app this FRP -

- Don’t argue with a moderator, their decisions are backed up by the entire team -
- Do not ignore events, they are going to be a large part of this FRP -
