Watyll 1104 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Hello friends and non friends! Just here with something I made, and then didn't know what to use it for. If you're wondering about the odd title, it means The Black Language. On to what exactly this is. The Black Language is meant to be a cohesive language that all dark creatures/beings/etc. can use at their whim. I've noticed several evil things using evil sounding words, and so I've decided to make this. If you have words you want to add, post below, similar to the elven language thread! On to the lore for this language. Basically the idea is when things grow evil, tainted, corrupted etc. these words begin to form in their head. They use these words instead of normal common sometimes, they slip out. Anything that is truly evil can in turn, discern this language and understand what the other evil being is saying, almost unconsciously. It is not known why or how these words begin showing up in dark creature's membranes, but it happens.GrammarSuffixes and prefixes immediately latch onto the word they correspond to.The predicate comes after the subjectAdjectives and adverbs are attached to the back of the word they describe with a hyphenPlural is denoted by adding a –ka to the back of the nounPast tense is denoted by adding an urk' to the front of the verbFuture tense is denoted by adding an ag' to the front of the verbPresent tense(ing) is denoted by adding a daz' to the front of the verb (knowing, knows) Imperative tense (commands) is denoted by adding a guh' Present subjunctive tense (has done, have done) is denoted by putting the word 'narg' in front of the verb, then attaching gertt' to the front of the verb. Past subjunctive (has died, have died) is denoted by putting the word 'narg' in front of the verb, then attaching re' to the front of the verb. Articles attach themselves to the words they affect. Possession is denoted by adding a 'sek to a pronoun or noun. For instance yours or your is do'sekPrefixesa-, an- (without) –burzante- (before) kuzurlanti- (against) gurlozgauto- (self) mulermcircum- (around) rokurzkoludco- (with) ptewkde- (off, away from) gurtabrdis- (not) bnurlen- (put into) shlovex- (out of)extra- (more) khornalhetero- (different) nozhamhomo- (same) kypizumhyper- (over) varropin- (into) ubyzinter- (between) zeculmacro- (large) pnuzinmicro- (small) vurrshtmono- (one) gordulomni- (everything, all) zmarkulduzhpost- (after) nhuzdeglisub- (under) ghalesyn- (same time) kroniztrans- (across) buridutri- (three) yiidirSuffixes-acy (state or quality) guordndbad-al (act or process of) nokhorst-ance, -ence (state or quality of) guordndbad -arch, (high, ruler) vhyln-dom (place or state of being) modva-er, -or (one who) ek-ism (doctrine or belief) drakh-ist (one who) gnu-ity, -it (quality of) ngno-ment (condition of) harhala-ness (state of being) hur-ship (position held) votr-sion, -tion (state of being) khow-ate (become) trakzvurm-ify, -fy (to make) kreoz-able, -ible (capable of being) gyamun-al (pertaining to) hei-esque (reminiscent of) ekkus-ful (notable for) zolarrg-ious, -ous (characterized by) gordun-ish (having the quality of) snavu-y (characterized by) ii-ive (having the nature of) ev-less (without) azhna -ling (smaller version) nhaAdverbsMaybe/perhaps - Kickstarted and Running 965 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Could easily be confused with Black Speech, which is the original tongue of the Orcs, but only by name. Otherwise this is rather fantastic.
