She felt nothing anymore. The notebook in front of her was tattered from its months of being her shield. Her pencil, the sword with which she had fought her mind, had more than just lost it's edge. The page was blank, not that the girl had nothing to write. She had simply stopped caring.

"I wonder if he cares..." A smile began to form on her lips but fell away as quickly as it had appeared.

Sword in hand, she lifted her shield and prepared to fight once more. Searching the battlefield known as her mind, she sought her next fore. A grimace was replaced by a stoic expression. This time it didn't matter if writing would make it real, she wanted to feel again.

Suicidal tendencies taunted her, but the girl knew they would be there for some time to come. This time she wanted to defeat something, kill it and never let it return. Depression looked up at her and gave a weak smile and thumbs up, as if to give her permission to end it's life.

"I can't kill you, you're too much of an old friend..." The girl whispered, and depression curled back into a ball, lost in it's own despair.

A scream deafened the girl. Logic ran away as her emotions seemed to combine and evolve. Anger and love held hands, joy and sorrow became one in the same. As opposites combined, those combinations combined until it was all one monster. Her BPD.

"YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" She screamed at it.

The monster gave no audible response. It yanked sword and shield from the girl, leaving her helpless to its power. The BPD had finally won, she had no words with which to slay it. She had never had those words, and she never would. The monster was more than just a simple, basic emotion that could be flicked away with a single stab. It was her everything, the very fibers of her being were defined by it.

Walls began to rise around both girl and BPD. A weak smile brightened her pale face. The monster tried to break the walls, yet had no success. The girl laughed at it's struggles to escape, to rage at her friends and ruin everything she herself cared so much about.

"I may not be able to kill you, but I can defend those I love from you...and myself. I won't let you ruin another friendship, not after the last one. They meant too much to me. All of my friends do." She closed her eyes, mind and body numb as the creature threw her against the walls. Bruised and broken physically, the girl did not yield, letting the walls grow higher and higher.
