Elphaba sighs as she sits in her location, pressing her head to a desk. she closes her eyes and runs her fingers through her hair. grabbing her things and moving on, further away from the world, welcoming the unknown vastness of the land as she made her way into the night until even her shadow was lost.

dalni looks out her bedroom window, missing the caves she was born to. she spook her head, she would have no regrets. her family needed to be away from the rest. she was happier here. she missed her friends, the two boys she would sneak out to have picnics and play tag with. the ones shehelped. she wrote them letters, but never told them where she now lived, she needed to stay away. stay in this paradise. away. missing. happy.

resia bites her lip. not even a week off the boat and she failed her father. with a heavy disappointment in herself she sneaks into her father's room. leaving a note only he would understand. in the dead of night, with no one watching. the young bloodseeker becomes lost from the maliker city, her wolf pup following her every step of the way as the treelines hide her from the world as she disappears into the night

Dhaun'che followed Resia. She stayed quiet, afraid to lose more. She ends up losing sight of Resia and begins wailing. Once more lost and alone.

Cold... it was very cold.

Veldryn huddled up alone in Darkhaven. The cobble buildings, once so teeming with life and full of warmth, were nothing but dark slabs of grey now. Nothing he could do. His friends were gone. He had seen neither hide nor tail of Dalni... Lyran... anyone. Even his brother and sister had been gone for such a long while. They left him alone in the night.

He didn't say it out loud, not to his Ilhar or to his new Ilharn, but he was afraid of the dark. He knew he should embrace it. His kind were those who kept to the shadows, strayed from the light. But he couldn't. The world around him seemed to grow darker with every old friend that left him, every one was a new shadow that appeared in the night. Taunting him. Laughing at him. He would not tell Ahly, but he was scared, he was sad.

He was alone.

"D-dalni..." It had been nearly a whole year gone since he had last seen his best friend in the world, the only person he could truly relate to. Despite their differences, he just wanted to see her one more time. Where was she? Why hadn't she told him, or taken him with her?

The wind picked up and sent a fierce gust blowing through his home. Pulling a torn blanket around him, Veldryn fitfully tried to sleep. He would find none, and in the morning to follow he would awake, another day spent wandering the streets of the Elven lands.

It was so very cold.

Malog enters the shaman camp in search of his good friend Elphaba, "Ziztah?" He looks over and notices her walking away. He calls, but she's too far away. Though she said nothing before she left, Malog gets the unsettling feeling that she won't be back anytime soon. As she fades out of sight, a heavy feeling of sadness hangs over him. Though he knows she can't hear him, he still murmurs, "Elphaba... Lat hab alwehz biin diffrunt frum mozt ob da bruddahz, bud lat hab alzu biin a hozh Hygh zhamun agh a  bub'hozh ziztah. Mi hupe wi peep lat agayn. Fur noaw ad liizt, gug'ye, ziztah."
