Tokugawa Ishikawa hikes down from the Wilds Island as he always does every week in order to get supplies and news from the outside world. He marches to the outposts and orders his usual assortment of beef and carrots, leaning against the bar.

"'Ey Toku, yer a slanty right?"

Tokugawa rolls his eyes "Sure, Brom."

"Well I heard this Ishikawa bloke is goin' ter make war on that Talonii place."

Tokugawa raises an eyebrow "Under the Orenians, likely." he smirks slightly.

"Nay! Apparently he's independent!"

Tokugawa stares at Brom for a moment, before getting up without a word. Brom shouts after him about his beef and carrots, but he pays no heed. Back up to his mountain hut the old warrior marches, walking over to a closet and opening it up. Inside is his purple lacquered armor, with a flag strapped to the back displaying the Ishikawa tiger. Beside it hangs his daisho, his two heavens. Katana and wakizashi. Many an hour had he trained atop the lonely peak with them, slashing into the feral giant spiders and wolves of the wilderness.

His brother called. He would answer.

Serenity reads the note, preparing herself for a fight, though only in defense. She plans to leave Lenniel as soon as possible to avoid the oncoming battle, and she prepares her armour, and weapons, quickly transporting them to a safehouse not far outside of the town. "Stupid warclaims... supposed to be friendly... peaceful... damn younglings in their political power... they need to be taught the proper political ways..." she murmurrs as she moves her things.

((By current war rules, they don't need a GM ratified reason to invade you. However, they do need access to your lands (they need to go through Oren and Conclave, both of which must authorise it, and more importantly they need to be a nation. Oren, by which I mean King Heinrik, either has to formally recognise the Easterners as a full nation and cede the land they're on to them, or the Easterners have to rebel and take that land by force. Otherwise this counts as an Orenian invasion, which once again, King Heinrik has to authorise.

Otherwise you could bypass things like the invasion cooldown by just having individual guilds and stuff declaring war.))

(( Firstly we're not going through Orens land, we're landing in New Malinor by the permission of the conclave. Secondly the Island of Yamatai has NEVER and I mean never been Orens lands which I can get knox to clarify. The Conclave recognizes me as a Sovereign state and the Easterners have been out of Oren for quite some time. ))

(( hence the time between the warclaim and the actual battle is near enough two weeks rather than just one week. I'm RP'ing that it would take a long time for the ships to get down south and around. They'll spend time resting up in New Malinor preparing for the actual battle. If that satisfies you. As for the nation, the Dominion of Yamatai is recognized by The Conclave as a Sovereign State and likely recognized by the Kingdom of Oren. No one is stopping me from achieving surprise. ))

((I know the taboo behind OOC but I have never rpn a single easterner in Lenniel and sailing across the world as Lago said to invade and destroy a town you've never been to because you don't like their ideals seems born of OOC discussion, not Rp.

Now, I hope that equal trust will be extended when I say these attacks you speak of were not ordered by any member of the Lenniel leadership, nor were they from citizens in our town.

I have been working in open cooperation with Darius and Khagan and there has been extended talk of merging our nations into one, before this talk of war from you.

My primary concern is to make sure my people don't die fighting in wars. We all see wisdom in cooperating with the conclave, your accusations of a rebellion are baseless.
