The Lords Of Almannir [Ooc/app Thread]

Almannir

A land cast into a feudal age with lords and kings ruling the vast steppes, hills and forests of the land. It reminds me... speaking of king.... Almannir did not have a king for almost five-hundred years. The last descendants from the last king's families vanished and the blood dried out. Say, good man, do you have what it takes to become the next king of Almannir?

Yes?

But such task is hard, with the Hardun invasion from the North, threatening to raid and pillage the rich lands which are yet to be touched by war. The Surlavs on the westcoast, present, luring for the time to strike perhaps? An observant lord is leading them, preparing for the right time, it deems. And in the South, the king of Rurigland, grasping for these rich lands we call our home. Only the combined efforts of the duke-brothers Handor and Mendor have been able to put his outstretching fingers to a halt.

Now the question is... what role would you play?

---

Short things short for now, I wish to keep this forum RP open in terms of history and background. The land in which this game of thrones is settled in is called Almannir. It revolves around a fictive feudalistic world, with lords, lands and intrigue. The ultimate goal so to say, would be to become King, yet again, the goal you wish to fulfill is generally your choice.

Without further hesitation a short look on the map.

In the north in brown we have the men of Hardun. They are an invading tribe in a sense, sheer endless in number, supposedly lead by a mystic god-man. They pillage and destroy. Mostly.

In the middle in dark teal we have Duke Handor and his holdings. In light blue Duke Mendor and his holdings. The Effermann brothers, who have focused on holding back our next candidate.

In orange the king of Rurigland, Alstrik, powerful, but stopped for the time being. He wishes to rule over all of Almannir.

Furthermore on the west coast, clearly present in olive green, the Surlav lord Mirofan Dorodiv. Maintaining a neutral position, yes, but still of weight in the current situation.

---

There are a few things which I have to note onto:

Religion:

In purple on the map are current clerical holdings for the faith which is most common in Almanir and Rurigland. To put it simple, it's a very liberal faith, monotheistic. The deity is... god. Simple as that.

There are two more religions already pregiven. One is the faith in the god-man who leads the Hardun, the other being the three spirits of the Surlav people. Spirit of Earth, spirit of Water and spirit of sky.

1. God of the Free (Almannir and Rurigland)

2. Followers of the Hardun God (Men of Hardun)

3. The three Spirits (Surlav people)

Cultures (and languages):

Very open. Generally there are a couple of them given already:

1. Almannir (Currently the duke brothers)

2. Rurigan (Rurigland)

3. Hard (Men of Hardun)

4. Ornovic (Surlav people)

Technology:

Medieval. No technological developements of major scale. Should you intend to invent something, notify me first or discuss it with the other participants if that is alright.

Rules:

1. Common sense.

2. No PG.

3. If I find more, I will add them.

---

Finally, application:

That does not work, Haribo, because the purple holdings are holdings of clergy following the God of the Free.

Also: The little island things outside the little port looking thing. It'd be a trade duchy with a bunch of ships, but a smaller army. Would rp as being a trade hub-esque area.

Could I be Lord Mirofan Dorodiv, and rule the whole nation?

(if so, dibs)

Intended as a NPC party/nation, sorry. You are free to make a ruler with same faith and culture though.

@Lathros

I hope you did not mix up the god of the free and the fellowship of the god-man of Hardun. To explain it again, the leader of the people of Hardun claims to be a god. People believe in it. That is the faith. of Hardun.
