((ok so I really have no idea where to stand on this because i have had so many people tell me different correlations and meetings that have to happen for the city, that it is amazing/josh requests of its demolish. After days of waiting for a council meeting about the city construction, I have given up and I'm just gonna make the god damn post about the city already.))

((Noted this is the best pic i could get so far, alot more of it has been built already plus its a bit of an older picture))

((more of whats built, sorry for the blocking tree))

((Even though this is the, (roleplay) section alot of this will be in ooc brackets so please bear with me..

((Okay, so Dwarven RP is dying. Barbek is run by edgies and elves now.

I have tried and tried again to rejuvenate the RP with taverns and other non-lag filled places to hang out, but to not too much avail. People wonder why Etheren is so desolate and nobody goes there to rp or to drink anymore.

Something interesting i thought about our capitals not getting much RP, Is that there is just too much "****" in our cities. For god's sake our market is literally all of Etheren and our double layered Iron gates dont appeal too well to newbies

Why did no RP ever happen in Az'goth?

Simply put, either it was too far away or our trolly and inconceivably average rp standing as dwarves drove new players away. By building this city, (i know the server is going to 4.0 soon but i hope to bring back some good rp before we start all over again)

I think we can bring back what was completely vanquished with countless shitstorms and 3 months of pvp hell.

((Now the picture I provided only depicts the two northern towers along the path to the city, because as its taking fucklong ever to get any choice made about this, i figured I'd build everything along the path to the city first and make the actual city later.

I've actually made quite alot of progress, for this being built all by me

I have gotten some feedback already and besides Josh and his inescapable dislike for anything that isnt covered in hardened **** painted to his own liking, the city has gotten a massive amount of support from players all over LoTC, and has attracted attention from counsel members as well.

((Just to prove my point slightly that there WILL be rp here, about 13 people coming from the druid market actually walked/wandered into the build site and started rping right in ******* front of me.

So anyways, gonna wrap up the ooc here....

I am going to be finishing the final bits of the walkways and spiriting the place up a bit with maybe some shrines, fountains, more trees.... etc

But if that is finished and I still havent gotten any sort of meeting on the matter, I'll just keep waiting... impatiently.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Onto the bits im adding (praise yemekar the ooc is over)

JrHfJEd.pngAgain, apologies the map GUI for lotc hasnt been updated since september of 2013 so this is an old picture

The black circle is the estimated ground area of the build.

EkXd0xs.png

2. 2nd district :Market, taverns, /clan houses/ other buildings (some houses)

1. 1st district :Rest of houses, jails, other buildings.. etc.

((adding the tower guide for idk (if needed)

AFHlR9I.png

Also, this hasn't been approved yet, but i really have no idea when anything will happen and I already have all this planned out. so ill post it now))

So because Kal'Etheren will still be the capital city of course, I plan to have a mixed residence, but hopefully mainly dwarves...

I really was interested in this idea because I thought the unique-ish architecture would be fresh..

(basically think kal'dwain if ya'll remember but with alot shorter walkways and more sparse buildings and less in one spot.)

((RP TIME))

*a large poster is shown hanging at the capital, it calls for the construction of a new city*

a new and mineral rich town for all to see, deep within the mountains

*It calls for a council meeting to discuss the matter and asks for workers in need of hire for the project..*

*atop the poster in red ink KÂL'MZULÂN is printed*

((any more **** to add, in case i missed anything needed))

[] First off man you don't gotta start off being so confrontational. I don't really think this will solve or help with any of the current issues we face that cause the lack of activity. Building more settlements is just going to further divide up what spare few players we have, not to mention I don't really think the build style of our capital leads to the issues we face. Building something new isn't going to fix any problems, rather progress would be made if we fix the issues with our RP that drive folks away and the general mentality. It would be more helpful to have more folks roleplaying in the city and getting folks to be more engaged in what we all do.

[]End all be all, this won't last because our problems are not based in how we build our cities. We thrived in Kalos and those were the most thrown together builds we had in a long time. Further we already have Kal'Garud right outside of Storms Crossing as is.

[]I must say I like what you've built already, if this ends up not being a town perhaps it could be used for some event. Got its own nice style.

Aengoth looks at the poster, shaking his head for a moment as he makes a comments for those viewing it to hear.

"Buildin' a new settlement ain't gunnae 'elp wif' nof'in'."

Wulfgar looks towards the poster as he is passing through the gates of Kal'Ithrun. Upon doing so, he notices Aengoth standing beside him and gives a slight nod of his head upon hearing his words.

"As unfortunate as t'is is, our kin 'ave nuh place fer aneh furthah cities bein' built fer weh 'ave nawt t'e population tu sustain 'em. Ah w'ould sugges' t'is lad guhs tu t'e Lerd's Council immediateleh 'er 'e c'ould beh troialled fer duin' t'is wit'out t'eir approval."

((I said this once and I'll say it again. Building more and more cities or settlements is one of the reasons our RP has been so stagnant these past few months. Yesterday I managed to get a good number of dwarves to stay in Kal'Ithrun and for the first time in quite a while, we've actually had some decent RP going on. I don't see why this couldn't be used as a fort for wars of some sort but I think a city may be going a little too far.))

Dreek frowns at the new Irehearts, reminding himself to beat the **** out of Igor for blooding them, once he joins his brother in the hall of the dead. In the meantime, he goes to look for Gorum, ready to trip him down another flight of stairs.

No bad stop now

Dreek frowns at the new Irehearts, reminding himself to beat the **** out of Igor for blooding them, once he joins his brother in the hall of the dead. In the meantime, he goes to look for Gorum, ready to trip him down another flight of stairs.

*wonders why Dreek didn't roll over in his grave
