Farley stands on the pier of Schattenburg, watching as merchant ships sail towards the arch of Abresi to peddle goods.

His gaze turns to the ever so restless sea, yet in his eyes the blue sea turns red instead of blue, just as the snow of the north turned from white, his thoughts return him to the north and the grim battle.

Man the trebuchets was the king's order for Lord Stafyr and his bannermen, rain fire upon the scourge and destroy their defenses.

Kill them all.

So when the Orenian army together with it's allies charged forth, Lord Stafyr and his men remained at the back, firing boulders upon the northern scourge.

Then in the distance, a large winged beast could be seen. Setherien.

The morale dropped, many of Lord Stafyrs men were shouting to retreat but the lord did not listen, his orders were to stay and he was not going to retreat, seeing their lord's courage the men quickly regained their morale and the firing on the north resumed.

All of the sudden Setherien's attention shifted south, he had noticed the trebuchets and flew at them.

Crashing straight into them, arrows from the men of Stafyr started to rain upon the beast but it seemed to simply bounce of the dragon.

The trebuchets were destroyed, Lord Stafyr together with Lord Blackwell changed their focus and charged forth with their men.

At the front they discovered chaos and destruction, Setherien and his followers had managed to split the army into two, one trapped outside the northern wall the other inside, Setherien himself dividing the two, yet he was about to make a misstake.

The beast charged forward upon the army outside the wall, leaving the opening to the north without much protection, a large force where Lord Stafyr and his men were included managed at that time to break through into the north and join with the remaining forces inside.

Setheiren to the surprise of the men left the field of battle, perhaps he realized his grim misstake in allowing the army inside to be reinforced and understood the battle was lost, only the beast himself can know.

With the retreat of Setherien the army was now finally fully combined, all the forces inside looking upon the fort of the scourge,

After a long time of skirmishing and small bursts of cultists and harbringers trying to push out, a small force managed to somehow get inside the outer walls of the fort, killing the scourge inside and opening the gate for the main force, the remaining scourge now hidden inside the inner depts of their fort.

The scourge made a quick push out, leaving a Lucienist named Braen Sturm to charge inside the fort, he fought valiantly but fell to the hands of the cultists inside, his name became a battle cry for the remaining Orenians, perhaps even a cry for the entire army.

Shortly afterwards the fortress fell in a charge, during which one of the few remaining cultists in a desperate attack struck Lord Stafyr in the shoulder with his mace, only to be cut down directly afterwards by the charging men, elves, orcs and dwarves.

The scourge made one last push, a flying beast appeared  together with the remaining scourge putting his eyes upon Lord Stafyr.

It charged forth towards the lord but he managed to avoid it's blows and pulled it unto open grounds where the arrows of the remaining troops could defeat the beast and the horns and drums of victory could finally sound throughout the north, undisturbed.

Lord Stafyr rallied up his remaining men and looked out over the battlefield, thousands of bodies were piled upon eachother in what many would deem as a massacre, they had won a costly victory that day and the dead was not to be forgotten.

And so the Stafyrs began their long walk south, home to Schattenburg.

Farley quickly looks up as a bell rings from one of the passing ships, he smiles as he looks to the sun reflecting in the sea and turns to look up towards Schattenburg.

He sees his cousins and uncles working, the guardforce patrolling the streets as peasants travel back and forth from the fields.

The northern beasts may one day come down south, he knows that but he also knows this victory has weakened the scourge now that they've lost in their own lands.

He walks up towards the small town, holding his hand to his shoulder, another scar for another victory a single word ringing in his mind "Peace"

((At the end of the day I would say it was a rather entertaining battle and I hope that we possibly may see more of the like, it was challenging but it didn't feel like the antags were completely OP at the end. + I got to tank a wither around in a circle.))

Silus can not help but smile the following days. It has been a total success North AND South. With Ondnarch beaten and the North driven back, the future of the good kin of Anthos saw yet again a sliver, if not a ray of hope. For the first time, as he can tell, the beings of good have worked together to beat back the common foe. Orcs, dwarves, elves and humans together as sisters and brothers in battle against the allconsuming cold darkness.

Yet again, he was wary about the risks and about what still lingered up there. The dragon who made his appearance did not die. And there must be more than that. Pondering about that, tired and with a heavy head he proceeds to continue working on his golem.

"Rough times, Archon, rough times..."
