CptShoelace 137 Share Posted February 24, 2014 *As Master Engineer Tog Irongrinder makes his way to the throne of The Grand King Wulfgar Grandaxe many watch him for he has revolutionized dwarf kind* ((common)) My king, for ages dwarves have had to used their might to maneuver our mighty weapons to foreign lands. That end because today in the land of Urguan at the base of the mighty city of storms I Tog Irongrinder along with some input from my skilled guildsmen have created a steam powered vehicle capable of taking anything anywhere only in time of war or emergency. ((screenshot)) http://imgur.com/uK8ygMe Operation This runs on coal or any heat based material. The steam created by such steam engines then pushes a fan ,like a steamship in water but on land. Thus turning the axis of the cart and turning the wheels. The steering mechanism is simple. The two post connected to each side of the front wheel turning the wheel turns to the desired direction. Tog waits for the kings response.

Supremacy 3361 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Inexplicably and rather suddenly the contraption would begin to steam violently. The wheels began to spin, in an out of control manner and the cart, as if possessed, would drive off before colliding with a nearby cave wall. In a flurry of fire and scrap metal the car is destroyed— Embers fly over the dwarves to the designs, which quickly burn up. (Googleman, Deviantart) Evidently the denizens of Anthos were not meant to have cars. ((Cars are not mech standard— Nor can you RP them without LT approval. If you have any grievances, feel free to PM me. Thank you!))
Zezimus 1523 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Grand King Wulfgar ducks his his head as a large chunk of metal flies over him, embedding itself into the back of the throne. He looks down at the Master Engineer, a slightly irritated look across his face before he begins to calm himself down. "Bah! Well at least ye gav' it ah try lad. Luuks loike steam powah moight nawt work tu well out ov water. Grand Merchant, giv' 'im t'e reward anehweh." Grand Merchant Fili Grandaxe gives a nod of his head, placing before Tog's feet a large pouch of gold coins. The Grand King rises from his throne, ordering his servants to clear the chamber of any remaining debris. ((I hardly think this is meant to act as a car of any sorts, just an RP means of transporting siege weaponry based on pre-existing technology but oh well.)) Vulkin Frostbeard 58 Share Posted February 25, 2014 *Vulkin watches the demonstration then loses balance for a moment as the invention explodes launching debri everywhere. As Vulkin notices a metal shard flying directly towards his face, he quickly raises his axe deflecting the debri. As Vulkin slowly lowers his axe he looks at the king and chuckles a bit* "Oi t'ink otha t'an teh explosion, Oi t'ink teh lad is onto somet'in wit' his creation". *Vulkin looks to the engineer and nods with enjoyment and much intrest in the creation.*
