The ground trembles as the Scourge arrive at the towering gates of Abresi, for it was prophecy that Abresi would be taken, War, Conquest and Xort lead the Scourge of the North, the beasts in the arsenal snarling and clawing at each other, their lust for the blood of man was to be sated on this glorious day, soon the sound of wheezing arrows rippled through the air, drudges began to emerge from the howling abyss as they lunged at the army of man, the agonizing screams of man and Scourge alike ran through the air.

 

Xort carved himself a way to victory, in his wake a trail of black smog that tainted the ground beneath his rusted greaves, he lumbered forward as he was swung his blackened cleaver and staff, lodging it into a man’s skull as he releases his grip on the hilt, he turns as a bright flash blinds him, attempting to shield his ‘eyes’ with his gauntlet, screeching as he writhes and convulses violently, he soon falters as he slowly begins to disintegrate, the wound in his shoulder area eating away at him like a spreading disease.

 

 

His armor falls down to the ground, a creosote smell is quickly released as his very being detaches itself from the armor, merely a husk as his ethereal form slowly escapes from his former prison, drifting away into the sky as he remains silent, a feeling of relief as he is finally released from the dragon’s flame that had sealed him inside the twisted garments.

 

His final fate was unknown to many, but all knew that his suffering had ended.
