Honestly, the trolling seriously needs to tone down. Imagine new players getting on to see this. Either he's going to leave, or mimic their habits.

 

 

There's nothing wrong with the human player base at all that isn't shared with other player bases in THIS community. Oren didn't even start this war and even then, whoever started it is not at fault. It's all just role play. There's great role play in Oren though it might not suit your personal tastes.

 

And before I'm called out, I'm from a role play community where there was no "Rp/PvP" default. All we had to work with was role play. And coming to LOTC, I enjoy the Role Play and PvP.

 

The peasant role play is amazing and those looking for a military setting can have a great time too. There's a more realistic approach to the role play, the majority of the people don't use magic and at times are vehemently against it. And despite the divisions within the kingdom itself, they have their religion that has unified them countless times to fight who they've seen as a greater evil.

 

And that doesn't define human role play in its entirety based upon the diversity of each group. And each player base has its own nice aspects. I personally like the more fantasy aspects of Elf role play that's accompanied by those tall forests and beautiful scenery overall. But to say one type of role play is **** compared to another role play is appalling and you should feel bad and if you're saying these things because others have said your type of role play was ****, then they should feel bad too. If you don't care for human role play, you're more than welcomed to play any of the other races. But never judge what another person views as fun to them.

Foolish mortal, that's besides the point. A significant time, 42 was literally just RP fighting. And general fights were dealt with in RP I'm sure. Because that'd be silly to bring a 1 v 1 to clan wars. Unless....-we were all silly to begin with. BESIDES THE POINT. That's derailing the thread.

No one is judging your view of fun. Guys, it is not only Oren that does this. It is everyone. And the RP-PvP element has begun to lean towards PvP itself. It is the trolling and general degradation of RP on all sides which irks me, not one nation or any one person in particular.

 

We are not fixing a nation, or any of that crud. I simply wanted to call attention to the fact, that yes, we are an RP server. We aren't Modern Warfare! I have watched people complain about the constant fighting, and I am a tad bored of it myself. Let's just all chillax and RP, but be a bit more... sensible.

You know, I've been in Oren. It's shaping up. The Battles are trollfests, but that's both sides. There /is/ RP to this war, and it's fantastic RP. You just have to make it or look for it.

But at the cost of RP? That is the real question here. While the war certainly has RP effects, I haven't seen much RP in this war. A lot of shouted commands in teamspeak and battles, yes, but not too much serious RP.

 

There is still rp, the forum posts after victories, feasts, diplomatic missions and other war rp things. What it bottles down to is your preference, you don't like it? don't participate. War is in itself serious rp and if it doesn't appeal then don't participate in conflict roleplay.

You know what, I think you should take a look at your own attitude before you criticize Oren. I doubt you have ever had any serious interaction with them before. Give them a try.

Beleive me, I have. I've tried several times. I am not saying /all/ people in Oren are item hungry PvPers, which I perhaps should have clerified more than I did. The majority of "RP" I have had with Oren has been... Well, either trolly or just PvP with one or two lines of RP before they say "PvP". I would love to have some serious interaction with Oren, but I can't seem to find any serious players. If you have any suggestions on who is an actual serious non-trolly Orener, please point me in their direction. Again, not saying this off of personal bias, just off of personal experiences I have had with Oren.

 

I WILL say, though, I did fight with them on my Goblin during some Scourge attack on the Oren kingdom in the Fringe. That was fun.

I guess it is true that the internet attracts the socially inept. Two people in a screenshot shouting AC-130 and we assume everyone from sneakyclownz1 to CynicalKing is the same by using the umbrella term concerning Oren.))
