"A divine does not lose an Empire, a Divine founds one. This is why we recognize the Carrion bloodline as the rightful rulers of Oren.

We must not let misguidance ruin a quarter-century of Kingship,  Franjo or no; a Carrion must perch upon his throne and guide us through these times in which the Creator's light and Carrion wisdom is needed."

"A Divine one only loses an Empire when those who claim to be of the Clergy try and become Kings and take lands meant to be for the Church and turn them into a Kingdom. Sacred Oaths broken before god by a Carrion but not all and you have this current situation, at least I ruled with honour unlike SOME of those who came after."

"How low did you bow to the dwarves, to avoid a Crows retribution?"

"Wasn't it the same Exalted who ordered the disbanding of the Empire after his death? But alas, I will not argue the Divinity of Siegmund I, the one who united us in times of darkness and corruption. How do we know that Franz will fall upon the same path as William III? He has already created an Anti-Pontiff to quench his hunger for power and when he did not get the reaction he wanted, he attempted to cover it up and has still not gone to penance for his sins. And if he was truely divine, then he wouldn't have spoken or acted against the infailibility of the Pontiff or the faithful's bishops. If he is to rule with the Creator's light and Carrion wisdom as you say, then let him come to the High Pontiff himself instead of hiding behind his Lord Messangers and letters. If he is really the Blood of the Exalted Siegmund, then let him come to the seat of the Pontiff and show it."

"Not you, your relative who broke all of his clergy oaths to be a King. Remember he took church lands and turned it into a Kingdom then swore under Thorin to escape the Dragons Wrath."

"Owyn II? You bring this weak insult to my family, for what purpose?

Owyn II was a holy and pius man who forgave your downright treasonous and sacrilegious actions to forfit our HOLY and DIVINE Empire to the Dwarves. This action stripped any divinity that the Horens gained from Godfrey's Empire.

And let me ask you William of Horen, you have stated that it was wrong for Owyn II to have held a Kingdom; but why? He was the Supreme and Holy Pontiff... His domain entailed the Pontifical States, The Kingdom of Savoie, and the Duchy of Corpathia; all of which he was allowed to have under his Pontifical Rites.

William you spineless worm, before you throw insults at my kin look at your own deeds."

Lord Harrison Briarwood raises a fine eyebrow, accentuating the reddish bags under his eyes.

"Now, now, boys... Don't fight. We have peace to make, let us not rend more gashes in the banners of our kingdom."

"As the church say a family cannot be Divine but can have exalted individuals. Godfreys achievements vastly outweigh my defeats and outweigh the achievements of any man since. But you fail to forget Owyn was my Regent and made every important decision for me before I came back to my throne. I was in fact away for the first few years of my reign and it is wrong for a Clergymen to hold a feudal title. As my Uncle Bishop John of Darfey has told me before and as for me being spineless? I took all my punishment I charged into my problems head on. I had a spine and to much pride but Owyn was a man who betrayed oaths,

"Madness...all this bickering is simple divide and conquer strategy instituted by foreign kings for foreign interest.

William Horen naturally still preserves a strong claim to our kingdom. He was its ruler only a few decades ago. However, just because one has the blood of exalted "divines" curdling in their veins does not grant them the mandate to rule. Then every son of Sigismund, Owyn, Horen I, and Godfrey would hold strong claims; altogether that may encompass over half the nobility, and a good deal of commoners!

Rather, we should look to the  mandates of our exalted, or divine mandates of succession. It has been human tradition since the days of Horen the First for our monarchy to pass through blood in a designated matter based on succession laws. Every exalted has practiced this tradition and to ignore it is to ignore their teachings. A king may abdicate but never should succession be withheld from a rightful legal heir. I understand some may lack confidence in his reign, but let him rule and I believe our realm shall bear witness to justice and peace. If not, war and turmoil. Two sides of a coin."

A random commoner asks "Why doesnt the High Ponti-wotsit just ASK our beloved Creator-fellow who HE wants as king? He's feckin' real after all, we've all seen 'is Aengul messengers and the like!"
