Fredek Royce peers into the interior of the Royal Keep, his expression grim. Within, the treacherous Decterum and Luciens slaughtered all those loyal to the crown. Curling his fingers around the iron gates, the wroth youth ordered the betrayers to cease this mindless violence but to no avail. Now, he could not do anything to save his countrymen. As he turns about, the resounding outcries of the Lord Chancellor became audible, and Fredek grinds his teeth.

Though, somewhere deep within him, he found the courage and determination to rally his forces. His band composed of Strannik order-men, strelts, and a shockingly meager amount of nobles. Among the nobility were Duke Othaman and Baron Basileus with his sons. Once realizing the odds they possessed, all those of the upper class hastily defected to the opposition. With a scoff and appalled appearance on his features, Fredek waved them off. Damien however, persisted and pleaded with the bastard Royce, “Fredek please… Surrender this fort, save yourself.” In return, Fredek shook his head and the Lord Basileus knew he could not sway  the Velky-Stran Royce. The boy with Crow's blood would not bend the knee no matter the circumstances.

Scanning over his men, he met each of their eyes, and in them he saw a hint of anxiety and fear. Near silent prayers could be made out, and to acknowledge this, the Royce commander calls out, his voice resounding through the stone stronghold, “Da! You may pray, but do niet be disheartened, brothers! Let us give the betrayers a taste of our steel! I am intent on dying here alongside you, comrades, but not until I kill at least 50 traitors! Godanistan will give worthy retribution in Seven Skies to each and every man.  Godani jest wielki!”

The loyalists responded with chanting, “Godani jest wielki!” and they begin to brandish their weapons. In that second, Luciens could be heard on their doorstep and soon within the defender’s bastion itself. Sparing no confidence, Fredek yelled, “CHARGE!” His obedient men rushed upwards, repelling the Luciens and leaving many corpses. Fredek himself ousted Baron Rydel, spitting at his lifeless body.

For many more arduous days, the men repelled those who attempted to breach them taking casualties but still unrelenting. After confirming no alternative, and refusing to surrender, Vladislav and Fredek Royce order all to charge into Vekaro, and much blood was shed. The Grandmaster lay at their feet and the men cheered but were soon surrounded. With a final smirk infamous on the Velky-Stran’s young face, he and the last defenders of Orenia were cut down and ascended as true legends.

Jon Othaman grips the throne within his fort as the screams of the dying reached his ears. They were good men out there who fought to the end, and he was just some coward who hid for his men and himself. Fredek was a friend and died for what they believed in, for a courage Jon did not possess. "Godani Jest Wielki" he whispers "Godani Jest Wielki"
