Why Do You Hate Forest Dwarves?

Keep in mind I was inactive off and on for a while. :P I think it was Charles in charge during most of the periods of times that I thought the dwarves were being ridiculous. I also really didn't like the way they were ostracizing the forest dwarves from developing their subrace.

 

Also, I don't think the forest dwarves should live in trees, but rather in forest caves and maybe in the roots or stumps of trees, etc.

Yeah, I like that. We're not as nimble or light as the Elves, so I think rather than living in trees, the architecture should be based around trees (as supports, perhaps) or as you said, in stumps.

Personally would love to make a forest dwarf as I see them pretty much like ale drinking hippies. But as of now...I see no real reason why I should do so. If it comes to their architecture, they should have houses wich are combined with trees and not live "on trees". Like this example here:

 

 

I like to build stuff in minecraft and I really want to see more forest dwarves, why don't make them pretty interesting? Make them smart and pros in nature. Having a Treebeard Clan Hall on a giant tree would be nicely!

 

Very special architecture could even give players interests on creating one.

Would you mind trying your hand at a design similar to what you described? It sounds awesome, and I'd like to see how it might look in Minecraft. We definitely do need a unique and creative architecture.

 

The only issue I see with houses combined with trees is that typically in Minecraft, you need a fairly big custom made tree to make any interior in it, and making large custom trees for each house would be a very difficult thing to do in survival.

Nothing is impossible and it can be possible. LOTC may has on it's maps large trees which can be used for such things. May also have somewhere a example build, will send you it if I found it.
