Conflicts Of The Mind

In the city of Vekaro, located in the March of Raev, a Avgust Steelwall sleeps.

Moonlight shines through his window, casting dancing shadows across

the floorboards, a silent party of darkness.

Tossing and turning in his bed, quilt with the Steelwall family emblem stitched on pulled tight

around his body, a cocoon to protect himself from imaginary fears. Deep within his subconscious the

boy wages war with what even the greatest of warriors wish to face...

Thundering across molten mountains a behemoth dragon, scales that glitter like steel line its hulking mass as it flies around a warrior clad in exotic black armor and wielding a golden hammer, the Four Fingered crest flowing on a tattered red cloak. Face to Maw, the warrior and dragon stare each other down, embers flit about them in cowardice, terrified to make contact with either combatant.

The armor-clad warrior leaps from his perch, hammer held high as he brings it down upon the head of the dragon, burning blue energy arcs off the impact, the dragon roaring in pain. Rising up from the blow, the dragon tosses its head into the air, throwing the warrior off with ease. Flying through the air

and falling towards the ground spells certain doom for the warrior, but with quick thinking he rolls on landing, rising to a knee as he turns to face his metallic foe once more.

The dragon snorts bright orange flame from its nostrils, sulfurous smoke escapes its cavernous maw as it lets loose a world trembling roar and rushes towards the warrior, mouth wide open to devour him.

The warrior raises his hammer as the dragon's maw confines him, bringing it down upon its sword lined jaw as it closes.

Instant darkness for a moment, then moonlight as little Avgust opens his eyes to look around.

Rising from the floorboards, his bed in shambles, moonlight casts streaks down his face and the

shadows dance around the young child once more as he falls to his knees and cries out for Godanistan.

"Godani help me...help me be strong.."
