[!]

A dark elf appears just outside of the bowels of Ker’lomi, he sighs quite loudly before beginning to speak. After he is finished he stands idle, awaiting responses.

Brothers and sisters of Mali’kerian descent, I come today with grievances and concerns. I have spent but one elven day here in Ker’lom and I fear for all of our well beings. Hovels, holes fit for rats have been mined out and intended to be our living quarters. Surely we deserve better than this?

Caverns that appear unstable surround us and minuscule homes unfit for one of us nevermind a family are provided for us. It can't just be me who finds this illogical? I believe it is in all of our best interests to discuss the future of Ker’lom and its housing conditions. We are not feral dogs, some of us wish to have a family without having to curl up in a small hole. It also astonishes me that some of us can live here without the fear of this unstable cavern collapsing! Ker'lomi in its current state is akeen to a glorified crack upon a rock, not a home for the glorious Mali'ker.

This is quite a pressing issue fellow Mali’ker, it must be discussed.

"If you do not like the living conditions, you can help build." Zress says calmly. "If you cant help build, help design. Instead of complaining, try helping by doing."

Idnir laughs, almost mockingly.
"You think we're unhappy? Frankly your the only person who has complained thus far, and you should keep your words of 'worry' to yourself simply because I take this as an insult to our home. We had nothing before, but now we have a place where we belong and can be among our true family, our kin! If you have an issue with the houses then I simply say live elsewhere."

"The Mali'ker have been working hard. You just came in, having done nothing, and started moaning about how you deserve better."

We are not feral dogs

"Also, this is actually not entirely true."

Chirr'on yawns as she stretches out across the warm wood before the flames, golden eyes drifting to the freshly-hunted elk turning on its spit. Her ear flicked as she slowly pushed herself up to sit on her heels, curled hands patting lightly on the richly stained flooring as her nose twitched, the smell of roasting meat and the elves of the well maintained spice garden nearby. Truly it was a lovely thing to wake up to, the kitchen had become a lovely place for the feral 'ker to nap. Her back hunched as she rose on her palms and the balls of her toes, bobbing along in the odd, quadrupedal gate the denizens of Ker'lomi had grown accustomed to seeing her in. Soon her knuckles brushed over the soft carpet, richly embroidered in violet, crimson, and ebony, the emblem of their city delicately stitched across the fine tapestry spread on the inlaid wood.

The other residents of whom she had grown so fond of gave small calls of her name in greeting as she passed by, trotting through the stone halls carved with love and care. Her ears flicked as she heard the rush of the newly found hot spring, now flooding the open bathhouse, the scent of perfumed oils filling her nose as she headed towards the room of herself and her caretaker, knowing full well her bed would be warm and clean and wonderfully soft, as it always was.

Truly, it was a lovely little place for the feral 'ker. Honestly, if she could speak in a tongue that her civilized brethren could understand, she would speak out against the foolish elder who had done nothing more than waste his breath while others toiled without end. If she could, she would mock him as a fool, for even in her canine mentality, that is all he truly was.

Viralurth stands still as he listens before speaking up, his tone calm and serious "All great trees started as but small saplings llir. Ker'lomi is still a young city. In time, it shall flourish. Perhaps with your assistance, living quarters canned improved"

With that, he falls silent

Dalen-Zanchu Sighs once more, turning his attention to the female Mali'ker.

"I bring up a concerning issue, this cave appears to be unstable and unfit for living. I am not complaining this is a valid concern. I would also be glad to assist in bettering the construction of Ker'lomi, why wouldn't I? I did in fact bring my concern up here, is that not correct? I will however be unable to do this alone.. I would require assistance from the leaders here, by means of approval of course."

After finishing up his comment, he takes a deep breath and responds to the male Mali'ker.

"Why would I keep my concerns to "myself"? us Mali'ker are in this together as a family of untold generations and I find the instability and small homes of the cavern an issue for our further growth. Should we not work towards bettering our home and ignore any concerns?

Your logic also confuses me, you say "We have a place where we belong and can be among our true family". However you so hastily wish for me to "live elsewhere" because I find the cavern unfit in it's current state? If we are truly to "be together as a family" steps must be taken to ensure we are all safe and progressing together as a family, not apart. Wishing someone who merely brings up a concern to "live elsewhere" is not something a family would do."

Finally turning back to the group he mutters aloud..

"I did not intend to adopt of tone of disdain for the cavern, I'm simply concerned about its current state. please do not take this as a malicious attack upon the cities constructors."

Dalen-Zanchu pauses, listening to the other carefully before once more responding..

He starts with the Mali'aime accusing him of moaning.

"I may be new here, but I am a Mali'ker concerned with what I see. Surely my opinion should be heard?

You accuse me of "moaning" and "doing nothing" yet I have brought up my issue with the caverns instability have a not? Surely this is "doing something". Once more I offer to assist the builders here, I ask you do not be so hasty to judge a fellow Mali'ker who only wants the best for us not myself but us, our family."

Unable to understand the golden eyed female Mali, he simply frowns unable to respond.

finally he turns his attention to the calm spoken male Mali'ker.

"I applaud for your calm tone and understanding, I am not a selfish child I bring my concerns to the wider public and now wish to assist the city. I shall not be condemned for my opinion's and concerns."

Edited with more responses, woopie! ;3

"Then help fix it. Don't complain, just help." Zress says before walking away.

Dalen-Zanch Eyes follow the woman walking away in anguish before speaking up.

"I shall repeat myself this is in no way "complaining". after bringing this up I now know I can in fact assist with the construction, something that I would have only known I could do by bringing up my concerns. now I shall "just help" as my concerns have now been addressed."

[ My bad artimec! I'll edit my response accordingly.]

Iatrilemar sends the man a note

One might suggest you speak with the leaders of the mali'ker directly. Do not let the harsh tone of one deter you. I am sure the actual mali'ker leaders would love you to assist them.

((Sorry iPhone message meh!))

Alka frowns at the harsh words the mali'ker use against the man "We are supposed to treat each other like family, because we are a family, trying to stick together. You mock a man for pointing out something which is true. We literally live beneath the other elves, and not just because we usually live in caves, but because we are forced there under false pretenses of false will. We need to stick together, even if it is just all of us against one of us, if we hope to be the glorious people we once were. I beg of you citizens of ker'lomi to at least heed his words, and take notice. In Anthos, did our houses look like this? No, our caves were more expansive than some cities, rooms left and right. This is us crawling into holes, and that is only one reason many of the Isttel's left. Now I love your hospitality and such, but I alone would hate to lower myself into such a hole, where we have to share a space of ten feet with another. What hope do we have of having a family when we aren't even allowed to have our own hole? I plead you take this into consideration my friends."

Long silvery wisps float about in Z'ress's home as she slumbers. A cold shiver would run down her spine, while a sickening feeling would overtake her as an ancestral spirit draws energy to manifest a voice into her ear.

"For those who criticize, offer them work to your benefit to test the true nature of their words and further enact your will and efforts."

The veil piercing voice would manifest in her dream, nestling its message into a deep crevice in her sub-conscious. If the voice were to wake her, no evidence of the ancestral spirit would remain, except a subtle nauseating-cold that lingers in the air.

Jiub, holding Chirr delicately in his arms, walks past and hears the bickering. He decides to stop and turn, observing the scene before him. Jiub clears his throat, attracting the attention of all those present.

"You are my kin, though you speak as if you know the circumstances which landed us here, yet I saw but a handful of Ker prior."

As he speaks, his eyes scan the area, as to not indicate that he is speaking to any individuals but to the group.

"We were not forced into this position, my blood brought this to the attention of Kalenz and for the sake of our Kin, it was decided that we were to live elsewhere. We chose to live here not for any other reason but to remain close to the rest of the Mali, perhaps it was because we felt safer here or perhaps it was because some of us remember what happened the last time we left the flock..."

Jiub stops for a moment to calm Chirr down, after letting out a sigh he continues.

"Once that was settled, it was Kalenz's idea to evict the Ker out of Tahn'siol and Lin'ame, which did forcefully made us join together and I thank them for that. As for the caves, that was my idea and no one has complained about it at the time nor since then... Well until now. There is a reason why we tell you to not expand upon your rooms, because there are parts where you may fall into the large cavernous area. Fear not though, we are in no danger of collapse and never shall be, that is just speculation with nothing to back it.

Jiub turns, still holding Chirr gently, his side to the group once more.

"Ker, if you wish to improve Ker'lomi, instead of becoming a preacher come to myself, Dak'ir or Oropher about assisting us."

Jiub walks off, holding a now very energetic Chirr in his arms.
