Best post on thread hands-down. Come back sometime mau5. :)

This thread implies that the GMs and playerbase actually will voice their true opinions, not have moments of bias and hatred amongst one another.

Also, I think most of you are going to get very sore lips with the amount of ass-kissing you're all doing.

Best post on thread hands-down. Come back sometime mau5. :)

aww you miss me already tell?

Addendum:

Mau5noize - inactive, to0 much mouse not enough lion 3.5/10 would bang

lol all i get is a 3.5. breh, have you seen my muscles. i think you mean 10/10

Do you stalk the forums only to post on topic such as this and defend the staff?

Just a fair question no snarkyness or hateful meaning behind it. :)

no, you can ask the staff about how i was to them. I was always unbiased. i kicked some GMs off that i had known outside of LOTC. I will always speak out against unnecessary attacks on either players or staff, there is a right way and a wrong way; this is just the wrong way. And don't worry, your smiling face made me smile back. :)

Im Always abouts. I log in and run around the map from time to time. For some reason I'm stuck in a godmode status. I can't hurt anyone, no one can hurt me; it kind of sucks but i enjoy not having to look for food every time i log in and just spend time observing the player base. Same goes for the forums, i see and read everything. I had my run, i served my time, i just felt others could do it better or at least put more time in. Being an Admin, or even a GM; is very taxing. It's like writing a book, you know the ending so you aren't even excited about the story, You don't get to experience the adventure like everyone else; your only enjoyment comes from seeing others enjoy your hard work and sacrifice. And when people tell you your book sucked, and aren't constructive at all with their criticism, it makes you not want to try. You can tell someone "hey you suck" or you can say "Hey i like the effort, but what if you tried this." Im not saying we should beat around the bush, I'm saying, be respectful and considerate or just leave the server and go elsewhere.

Ill be blunt. this is probably one of the most pointless and inconsiderate topics to date. Not the worst, but it's up there. How about a poll about players who whine and complain, or players who kiss ass in hopes of getting promotions, or better yet; players that point out problems and never solutions. Or EVEN BETTER, a poll on players that are just complete ass holes. Lets rate players based on their RP level. Brown for shitty, red for amazing, blue for power gamers, orange for bad spellers.

The above was sarcasm, using colors to rate people on good or bad, is…stupid. Just because you call it constructive criticism doesn't make it ok. Telling someone who's overweight they are fat isn't ok. A Gm who is struggling to do a good job, shouldn't be dragged publicly through the server and ganged up to be humiliated. So, here is some constructive criticism, pull your head out your ass, act like a mature individual, and take any concerns you have with a staff member to the Admin in charge. If you feel like you need numbers to better get your point across, make a document with some fellow concerned players and send that to an admin. They do listen, but posts like this; will cause them not to take you seriously. Especially if you find this as ok.

This.

We already have a thread for people to pick their favourites, we don't need a thread like this too. If you have a problem with a member of staff, bring it up with said member of staff or, failing that, an admin. Simply voting good/bad/other is not productive and makes it into more of a popularity contest than anything else. Being a moderator is not about being popular.

I will say that bringing it up with the member of staff can have very mixed results. I know in the past, I've tried doing it a few times. Sometimes the staff took the constructive criticism well, and sometimes my feedback was not well received at all and led the staff member to dislike me (or so it seemed). Granted, a couple of times I did it I was being a total asshat (one time in particular, sorry unnamed GM), but I'd also say that some of people have moved past my dickish presentation of criticism far better than those who I gave feedback to in a cordial manner.

Of course, I realize I'm sort of divulging from your main point, that being that this thread isn't necessary and creates more harm than good. I would agree that one ought to bring their issues up privately, although it's sometimes unwise to bring it up to the member with the perceived problem.

Just me, but some people actually call some overweight people fat for good reasons. An overweight person tries to lose weight but can't until someone has to forcefully starve him until he/she loses weight. Then the good guy who helped the overweight guy lose oh a good 40 pounds turns his back and the guy starts stuffing his face with chips and chocolate again until he gains what he just lost. The being 'fat' factor is then a product of a lack of self-control. So from my point of view, saying you shouldn't call some people fat because you don't want to hurt his or her feelings is stupid. Maybe said person would try to gain self-control by himself if he gets battered around a bit more instead of needing people to hold his hand? Though if you look at some of the people who actually posted their opinions of the list instead of making useless posts trying to show how 'this thread can be trolled', they actually gave reasons for their ratings (which can actually be solved by said GM should they post like Rhia dealing with Radahan instead of having to go through a third person like an admin). Final note:

You cannot even compare to how horrendous of an FM I was. Don't compare yourself to me, pleb.

EDIT: @Rand, how in the world do you consider a person who forcefully starves another person so they can lose wait a good person. Lolwat? GM's won't listen to feedback posted on here, but they'll listen to the feedback they get from Admins. As far as I'm concerned, quoting part of my post went against the argument you made.
