A Bountiful Harvest, Stafyrs Return

The ever quiet county of Eastgate erupted in a strange sense of life this saint day, a sudden renewed energy presented by the Stafyr who had slumbered for so long. The sound of wood striking wood clattered the keeps upper levels as training blades were brought against each other. The small levy force that grew day by day, running yet another drill in the training grounds. Symon smiled faintly, his hands folded behind his back as he surveyed the lands laid out before him, his eyes darting over the fields before over his shoulder to Joseph and the Whyte brothers as they trained with the few militia they had mustered for Eastgates defense force.

He sighed, closing his eyes for a mere moment as he took in the breeze drafting from atop the castles walls before turning back down to the fields below. A bell rung out and the farmers began their work once more, a flurry of scythes, hoes and bags of seeds scurried about the messy fields as they collected and treated the fields, replanting for yet another bountiful harvest.

Eastgate was finally bustling with activity once more, and the Stafyr banners rose proudly above the walls of its defenses fighting the wind in its endless battle. The worn and tired face lifted from Symons weary self as a faint smile formed on his lips.

“We’re finally back…”
