"Ehm, begging your pardon, Sohaer. But what exactly are the grounds for my removal? I meet all of the legal qualifications and am otherwise able. Moreover I have not yet been removed from the position of Okarir'indor legally... should that not be discussed and conducted first?"

Yulnii scratches her head.

"Well, I suppose I shall go once more. I stated my reasoning when this position was previously available."

She ruffles through a few papers, pulling out her speech.

"First among my reasons, I would like to continue the Elibar'acal family tradition of helping this city grow. My Uncle, Athri, and my Great-Aunt Valmuel both put their lives and souls into us as a people. They worked alongside all of you, and it is my turn to do the same.

With my Uncle's passing and my Great-Aunt's disappearance, I find myself compelled to do more than I can, especially considering my position in the Sillumiran. I am not... the greatest fighter," she motions to herself at this, with a small laugh, "but I have knowledge and I am prepared to help us grow as a species. Whether it is organization, documentation, or knowledge on magic, I can assure you I am more than competent in each position. With my previous experience in the Sillumiran, willingness, and my ability to help our species improve... I believe I am the best fit for the position."

With a small nod to the other mali present, she steps down.

After a final scratch with her quill, Azorella sends the following letter to each citizen as well as the current Hieal’thilln for consideration:

Good lliran, since, as it were, I find myself surrounded by both familiar and unfamiliar faces in Tahn’siol, it seems prudent to summarize my past deeds and future endeavors in my bid for the seat of Okarir'indor.

When I first arrived in Haelun’or—during the time of Asulon—I was starved for sustenance, safety, and knowledge. Haelun’or provided all that with an unmatched generosity and eloquence. It has been my ongoing endeavor to repay that generosity. Books have always been my constant companions and tending to our venerated library in Kalos, Elysium, and Anthos has been my whole-hearted pleasure. I continued these duties through the beginnings of Lin’evaral, before I was elected as one of the Medi’iran, wherein the responsibility was passed down to the newly selected Tilruir’indor. Tending to literary treasures has always been an absolute delight and I desire to put my previous experience into practice once more.

Additionally, I have many decades of experience with the arcane as a practicing fire evocationist, and should hope that this may be helpful in the registrative duties of Okarir’indor.

Most importantly, however, is the furthering of the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. As of late, it seems we have been relatively successful in fending off major external threats—such as Dwarves—and surviving the more ‘internal’ threat of the Plague. While one needs to stay ever vigilant against impures, it seems an otherwise advantageous time to take grand strides in the expansion of our maehr. I hope to, in the least, further the education of Mali’ii by resuming classes and to find new opportunities for our resident scientists to further their research.

maehr’sae hiylun’ehya,

Azorella Coulissante

Sul'irrin draws out a silver piece of paper, already ready for this speech.

"I Sul'lrrin Audane hereby wish to take the position of Okarir'indor. My family, albeit no longer around has served the silver city diligently, and my life has been dedicated to the bettering of the Mali'aheral and towards the knowledge of all science. I am perfectly able to come to the solution of any problem faced before me and work through it diligently and happily."

Sul'lrrin clears his throat, looking about. His apothecary belt wrapped around his waist and over his shoulder, glass bottles clink together noisily. Sul'lrrin continues

"I have since arriving back at the Silver City, sought to assist the people in all the ways possible in my position. I have since helped develop a cute for the plague that had ailed us.I am not the greatest of fighters, so it is better for me to be utilized in a different scenario, in this case: in the labs of Tahn'siol, overseeing projects and placing myself into the frey of the world of science. I have come from a background that allows me to use my skills in such ways. Having been forced, at sword-point by the Desciples to create their weaponry that they then used within the Conclave and outside, I have shown my poweress of inginuity and my powers of progress. I will be attentive, assertive, and most of all helpful towards my fellow Mali'aheral when dealing with anything that might fall under my position.

Sul'irrin sighs softly, finished with the first part, readying himself for round two.

"I was the library keeper within the Disciples, the ones who led the conclave, kept there against my will, and never has a library looked cleaner or more refined. I also have been trained in the Art of Electromancy and witnessed many pupil gain similar abilities and aptitude in magic, I know who should and should not weild such power or be allowed within the walls of the city I care so deeply for. I believe I am the best choice because of the experience I have gained throughout the short life I have lived, being that it has all been devoted towards an ultimate goal of reaching such a position. That being said, ultimately I have been used multiple times as a "Middle-grounds" between two parties, both within the city and externally.

Sul'lrrin smiles confidently as he reads the last paragraph

In short, my fellow Mali'aheral, I believe i should take the position of Mali'aheral. I feel that we have stepped away form the scientific side of things and are currently wallowing in a pool of water that is slowly raising over our heads, something needs to be done, a hole needs to be made.. and I have the tools to make that hole.

I hope you consider me a rightful candidate for this position, and wish that no-matter what, Education must begin.

Thank you for listening.

Sul'irrin

The Eternal Librarian gazes over the poster, grumbling to herself.

"He was perfectly good."

Her blank eyes scan over the people who stand before the crowd.

"Dasyra, no.

Yulnii, no.

Azorella, yes.

Sul'lrrin, no."

Yulnii's eyes narrow.

"Librarian, what is your reasoning? I assure you, I can fulfill these duties."

The Eternal Librarian looks over to Yulnii with no expression on her ghostly visage whatsoever.

"I don't trust you, nor your family."

Yulnii frowns, biting her lip slowly. The young mali'aheral looks up with a small smile.

"I cannot change your opinion on my family, but I can change your opinion on me. What do I need to do to gain your trust?"

Vellulaei'thill walks by the small congregation, a book gripped in her hands. A recent drizzle had curled her hair slightly and small blond locks escaped the prison of her shawl. She paused nearby the congregation and tapped a slender finger against the leather cover of her book. Had these Mali'Aheral not learned the true lessons of life?

"Trust is secondary." She says in a condescending voice. "Only your capacity to fuffill your tasks efficiently counts."

As several days pass, Dasyra would gather the crowds once again as she peers among them. Coughing twice, her throat clear, she speaks aloud the the crowds. Hands making a series of odd movements typically seen when one does public speaking.

"Karin'ayla, mali.

I, Dasyra Linath, following my recent resignation from the position of Okarir'san have decided to tempt fate and once again join those among the silver council. Although my departure may only have been short, I believe I've had enough time to succesfully undergo this new position. To help you determine if I'm the best candidate, I shall write about each aspect of the role, and how I will accomplish success within it."

Dasyra would look down at a small piece of paper within her hand, glaring among it's many scribbled words.

"Eternality, perhaps one of the most important roles of the Okarir'indor, the job of protecting and securing the most valuable resource the mali'aheral have available to them, knowledge. Over the many years I've resided within the cihi's of the mali'aheral I grew close friend with Lelien, now despite her lacking physical form due to a heartbreaking event that occurred many a year ago I believe her experience and time with us has only showed that she can successfully complete a role managing and maintaining the many books within our library. However it is of growing concern she herself holds the all the knowledge, with many a book no longer holding physical form.. I'd quickly make amend to this, having each book stored within physical properties and handed to myself. Where they shall be protected as an alternative source of information should her current form be dispelled. Yet, I will not allow her to work alone, together we shall use our personal knowledge and experience to uncover the ideal means of protecting our ever growing, and most important resource, confirming that the prying eyes of the Bortu will never gain anything from our handwork."

Once again, she looks down, scanning the scribbles as she coughs once again.

"Development, the storing of knowledge is indeed a very important part and resource, yet another is the gaining of it. Over the past many years the mali'aheral, who are supposed to be known for their vast research and knowledge, have completely lacked gaining anything new.. Excluding the grand works of Silir. Another one of my many goals would be to continue our legacy, allowing us to once again become the pinnacle of scientific research.. This can be done through a variety of ways, from encouraging younger citizens to follow a path of science to building sufficient laboratories for these experiments to take place.

Negotiation, this unfortunately has been limited as of late. The long lasting war between the many nations of the fringe has restricted our capabilities to expand our knowledge by asking those of other cultures, yet, should this war die down I will likely place more emphasis into this role.. Allowing us to once again communicate freely with those lesser than the mali'aheral kin."

Throat running dry, she grasps a small glass beside her filled with water, drinking a hefty amount she'd place it back down. Giving a minute for the crowds to think of her words, she'd continue.

"Magic, both in the roles of record keeping and protection. Within Lin'everal I was able to wander the streets, and see marvelous displays of magic, from the student and teacher. This would be my first goal, to allow the mali'aheral as a race to once again strive above most in terms of magic, with any and all being available for student to learn. However, this does in fact bring about problems. Magic over time has proven to be destructive and hazardous and must be controlled to a degree, that is why one of the first acts regarding this I shall accomplish is reviewing the current status of magic law and offering change to meet a higher standard. Atop of this I will confirm each magic user within the cihi is registered, and those using magic without informing those of a higher level will be punished for their actions. My experience within such a role exceeds most, currently I'm Guild Master of the mages guild, where some may consider this guild of questionable purity their excess knowledge in the field only shows that I'm prepared within all aspects of it. Atop of this, I was once a Magister during the time of old Malinor where we introduced ideals such as magic licenses, which will surely help my decision making capability during this role.

I believe this summons the end of my speech, I'll answer any questions now."

Dasyra would step back from the general area, allowing those who wished to ask questions to step forth.
