Hail Friends of Malinor,

Today, I come here in attempts to persuade to you play the beautiful race of giant predatory jungle cats, also known as Kharajyr, Kha’, Mews Mews, or just abnormally sized cats. If that wasn’t convincing enough, the post below is a compilation of reasons as to why you should be a servant of Metztli.

1.) Religious roleplay - The Kharajyr provide a completely unique religious experience that cannot be found anywhere else on the server. Sacrifices, communal gatherings, and even a magic that is specifically catered to priests is offered. The whole race is centered around a Goddess, Metztli, that the Kharajyr worship devoutly. Some Kharajyr choose the path of priesthood, devoting the entirety of their life to the worship of Metztli and the carrying out of her will. They act as counsel to other Kharajyr and as they gain respect, their word is treated as law. Some may even get the opportunity to study under a respected Ja’ and learn Muun’Trivazja, the magic of Metztli. (Lore here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/93560-muuntrivazja-magic-guide/ )

2.) Friendly Community that spans across different game platforms - The Kharajyr community is relatively smaller than the rest of the racial communities, but because of this, we have become close to one another and have become great friends. It is a bit easier to get messages across when you are comfortable and actually “know” who you’re talking to instead of just being a name in a huge group. Become not only a noticed person in the group, but also a meaningful part of the RP community as well -- everyone has an opportunity to make a significant change with our group.

3.) Interesting group events (Adventures/Religious Trips/ Hunting parties/ Feasts/ Sacrifices) - Since our race is not quite as large as others, we have the ability to develop events specifically created for Kharajyr. This spans over a range of categories, including large scale hunts and even sacrifices to please Metztli. Along with sacrifices, Kharajyr appease Metztli through feasts and adventures where they try to persuade other races to join their religion.

4.) Completely Unique Race (Body Structure, Accent) - The Kharajyr are generally described as large, predatory jungle cats similar to the ones you would find still living today. This makes role-playing one that can stand on it’s hind legs and speak completely unique and something quite different to role-play. This also changes the dynamics of RP fights and how other races view you as a whole. Kharajyr have a completely unique accent that is quite easy to learn and fun to use when speaking to other races. Also, the culture of the Kharajyr causes almost everyone to be tight nit and close. All Kharajyr look out for one another, making our community very close.

5.) Culture (Government, Social Classes, and Jobs.) - The Kharajyr provide a completely different social environment compared to anywhere else on Lord of the Craft. Our government is ruled by the Tlatlanni, more commonly referred to as the Tla’. The Tla’ is the sole leader of the Kharajyr, selected by Metztli herself and blessed with pure white fur. The Tla’ assigns different Kharajyr to oversee various aspects of the community, making the populace as a whole run smoothly. Jobs vary widely over the community, but you are always sure to find a niche within the city through apprenticeship or even developing an industry on your own. If working with your paws does not satisfy your Kharajyr, going the extra mile and becoming a priest of Metztli is another option that you may find as a suitable occupation for your Kha. Priests tend to the temple and act as Metztli’s voice.

6.) Assistance with Skins - Though small, we have a surprising amount of skinners that are very proficient at making skins, not exclusive to kha. If you are worried about not having a skin when you join the kha, worry no more. The Kha community would be more than happy to assist you!

7.) Architecture and Housing/The Island - The Kharajyr island is always interesting and the dens and buildings that the Kharajyr dwell in are quite magnificent. Each Kharajyr has the opportunity to acquire a house and taxes are done in raw materials in order to make sure the Kharajyr are not lacking resources. Interaction with wildlife is a huge part of Kharajyr culture, and their is even lore surrounding the beasts that are native to the Kha’s island (Found here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/82524-lore-the-wildlife-of-karakatua/ )

8.) Families - Kharajyr families are normally quite open to new kittens, which are incredibly fun and cute to play. Kharajyr families that grow larger are often respected as a “Pride,” which is just a family of notice, similar to nobility. Kharajyr family RP is always fun and different, making a Kha’ that is in a large family quite interesting.

(( And how would one join your community?

Find a skin and make a Kha! The application process has been done away with, so basically you can slap on a skin and join the world as a Kha' right away. Just PM me if you want to be added to the Skype call!

If anything, I want to start off as a kitten from one of the main Kha couples or families so I have a good bit of RP.

I am in the chat already as well; you guys always seem to talk almost one 1K of messages everyday XD. I had a kha kitten once but there was not a lot of RP around it so I kinda quit; I want a good, religious, and centralized Kha family for 4.0 probs or now.

Literally the only reason why I never played a Kha, could never make a skin. Could a Kha skinner maybe get in contact with me?

While I personally am not very positive on the Kha RP I have seen, I do wish you folks luck and hope that you will be an active race!

Zaddha weeps at the discovery that what he had thought was a sleeping kitten in the bed at the Kharajyr sanctuary was actually a rotting carcass.
