Both methods of combat have their own ways and have their own purposes. No one form of combat is better than the other.

I would personally like a removal of a default form of combat and instead add a majority or a rolling system that let's a random system decide for you.

And no, due to the toxicity of the playerbase, I wouldn't bring a friend to the server.

Did you guys seriously vote Anthos being the best map? The map sucked from day one because it was just another repeat of Asulon.

Am I the only one who doesn't see this "Super toxic" community? I kinda feel like some people like to sprinkle drama on everything that happens here. If you actually log on and play for a while without going on the forums/ts it's honestly not that bad, at all.

I agree, it's really far more the forums, TS, and group skype chats than it is the server itself. It alarms me that we're all mature and cordial in game, but elsewhere we're bickering and toxic.

I don't believe VonEbs authored this post to serve as your Alcoholics Anonymous group meet to discuss your relationships and how they are affected by whatever you do.

Well, in regards to the friend referral question, I included that because Cruz once conducted a study showing that the largest segment of players was introduced to LotC through a friend.

If this poll's findings indicate people are no longer willing to refer people to the server, perhaps that could be a reason that the server is shrinking.

Here is Cruz' study: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/81458-new-how-people-find-lotc/?hl=%2Bserver+%2Breferral#entry698991

You asked if you'd refer a friend, not look at the bottom of a beer bottle with one's woes about their gal-pal relations lol.

And I submitted my votes.

Pvp default is a nessecary evil but we could do with a bit less of it. I've invited several of my friends to the server and they're constantly mocking the toxicity of the forums. I'll probably end up inviting more just to enjoy the drama of the forums and lotc ooc scene.

I honestly think that having the ooc aspect is so stupid. Trying to rp when on the lotc team speak is next to impossible, team speak and other ooc communication methods should only be used when in combat because people are going to meta game that stuff anyway. I think that shutting down the ts servers and skype call until there was actual ya know wars going down would really help towards making the server a better place to rp.

I reckon we should just switch off statuses permanently for everything that isn't an important staff announcement. So much of the ooc bullshit comes from statuses. It's like the toxicity of facebook but LoTC version.

Crack down on pointless victory posts too, as well as the surplus of 'trolly' RP responses like '"Haha" says man'.

Simple solution.

Be nice to people! :D

congratulations you're really cool :)

Shove off, when people give opinions, people who put them down and use sarcastic remarks are the reason this server has some issues. This is very dissatisfying since you used to be a GM, and ET, you should know better than this.
