I invited some friends to play LOTC. They stuck around for a week then got bored. We don't talk about it much anymore. :idk:

Yah I invited a few friends once, they all already played MC so it was cool. But those were my closest friends and they were like "Wow too much restrictions, wtf this guy just pvped me out of nowhere, I dont understand this confusing lore, omg this is sooooo boring" those were their words... but of course another person I told to join just applied with the username p*ssy_slayer69

I just don't see how PvP is RP. Anyone can put on a set of iron armor and take down a golem or dread knight or orc these days by clicking buttons instead of actually roleplaying. If all parties say "Hey, this is taking forever, let's just PvP", that'd make a bit more sense, same with giant wars/skirmishes. But a random Human auto-armoring when they see a Dread Knight and giving 2 lines of RP before saying "PvP default" and killing said dread knight is pure crap to me. You have to take logic, skill, and realism into account (as much as you can in fantasy roleplay). A dread knight would snap a human in half if they faced one alone. I just don't see the logic behind forcing people to do a certain type of combat if everyone is not having fun, regardless of PvP or RP default combat styles.

You do realize you have to provide the creativity correct? The act of fictional plotting and developing comes from your head, not a video game's mechanics.

I will make sure to write a forum post for some validation everytime I get in a fight. You know, fish for some 'Oh, you're such a good writer' and such. So I can add the RP, too, but mainly the validation.

It is unlikely that the best possible configuration for a medieval fantasy RP platform was found purely by chance by devs who never even intended or accounted for such usage.

Please note the amount of arguments arising over what is considered 'fair' usage of the minecraft mechanics.

The arguments happen because the roles contradict and twist and turn.

I.E. You can put ladders as high as you want, with no 'ground' beneath them, but sideways ladders? nope.jpg
