In what ways can an Uruk make spirits more powerful?  Would it be possible to offer a creation in the mortal realm to a spirit in the spirit realm to make that spirit stronger?

In what ways can an Uruk make spirits more powerful?  Would it be possible to offer a creation in the mortal realm to a spirit in the spirit realm to make that spirit stronger?

Normal Uruks and Shamans alike can do a variety of things to increase the strength of a spirit and their prevalence in one of the spirit realms. Say we are talking about an Immortal Spirit- Votar, for example. The Orcs could call for a ceremonial hunt in his honor; searching around the Savanna for worthy prey to later toast to the spirit at a feast later that day. The Immortal Spirits, as a rule, are as powerful as what they represent is prominent in the Mortal Realm. If a legendary hunt is had, then the prevalence of the ideal of Hunting is in turn greater, and Votar will gain proportionate strength. What is more, the Orcs can also influence the strength of Minor Spirits- those who's names are unknown and who serve the Greaters. An example of this is Gul'Thrak, the minor spirit of Earth, who protected San'Vitar against the Dark Shamans and in turn gained more recognition, praise, and prevalence in the Mortal realm by the Orcs.

So, the answer to your question is yes- Orcs play a massive role in deciding the power of spirits in the spirit realm, and sacrificing to them and performing deeds in their honor are both excellent ways of increasing their strength there.

Regarding this most recent update on Shaman lore, as posted by Burkester (one of the lore's claimed collaborators), I have a question regarding Dark Shamanism and it's aesthetics. Now, a good while back in I believe either the Fringe-era or late-Anthos, Treshure had developed an early iteration of Dark Shamanism that based controlling the spirits on mixing other black magic in with a Shaman's ability to reach out to the spirits. For example, instead of learning a lesser spirit's true name, a Shaman whom had learned necromancy or had been imbued with a Shade would be able to latch onto the spirit in question and force it to produce the resulting powers it normally would grand, depending on the type of spirit it was. Now because of this forced power-drain, the product of said spirit was said to appear corrupted -- churned fire turned black, wind was a dark, gaseous mass in the air and Witchdoctor powers focused more on malignant curses and hexes more than it's other aspects.

Getting to the main point, does these same effects apply to current, valid Dark Shamanism? As Treshure's version likely based the corrupted powers on the fact the victimized spirit was enslaved with inherently dark magic, I would assume that these affects would not be present for this edition of the archtype, as the only driving force behind Dark Shamanism appears to be abusing a certain spirit's grant-able powers on behalf of knowing it's true name by tricking it. I found that the physical degradation of a Shaman to be an interesting factor, though I also approved of Treshure's suggestion of the forcefully-taken powers being warped and twisted beyond their basic, natural forms as a result of the spiritual abuse.

Treshure's lore on the magic was never accepted, the material that Crataor made was similar to Treshure's, however, it did not possess the necromancy/shade add-on. Threshure's version was nice, yet too complex. Talk to me on skype if you want more info.

So, I noticed the spirit list is on the second page of orc roleplay. Personally, I think that kind of thing should be pinned, but in case that never happens I'm putting a link right here to make sure it doesn't get buried under tons of other threads over time. https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/112681-the-spirits/
