"Dear Emperor Tuv and The High Pontiff, I bring news to you. I have beared witness of a truely amazing child being born. The boy is a son of The creator himself, and will live a rough life. He will live this life and will eventually be a ruler. This simple boy is more divine than any emperor and will be the start of something great. He comes from humble beginnings, but the woman who gave birth to him is said to be a Virgin!"

*The messenger delivers the letter and runs away in fear of Tuv 'Shooting the messenger', the letter is unmarked

William folds his arms and leans back slightly in his chair as he watches the messenger sprint out of the throne room, shaking his head and sighing afterwards.

"How in the world does that man know that this man is the son of the Creator, and how does he know he will live a rough life? And then be a ruler? What does he mean by that?"

He pauses to slip a scroll from his belt, reading over it quickly, nodding, and folding it back up.

"Our faith even states that no man is divine. No one is more divine than the Emperor, for the Emperor himself is not divine at all! Oh, and the woman who gave birth to him is 'said to be a virgin!' For some reason, I don't believe her, considering that conception requires two parents, not one. It is far more likely that this supposed virgin woman lied to cover up her less than virtuous actions in the bedroom."

Proyce laRouge, The Virgin Knight receives word of these claims being made through word of mouth.
Upon obtaining this knowledge his muscles clench, and he begins to experience a sort of fit.

"T-The sanctity of marriage--" he cries desperately, foaming at the mouth!
He has effectively caused a scene in Alderberg Square as he begins to choke and colapses.
Reaching feebley up into the brilliant blue sky, he chokes out a few more words.

"--M-must not be... dist...urbed!"

"Heresy." mutters the High Pontiff, residing in the palace during the meeting of the privy council.

"God is the Allfather, not father of one, as He is father to all creation for it is His Breath which sustains us. To proclaim some whoreson as divine besmirches His Name, for none of His Creation can compare to the true divinity of our Creator! Begone with this nonsense, and tend to the brat born out of wedlock, for even a bastard is His Creation, and it is not his fault his mother conjured blasphemy to fool the local fishmongers."

Vulpes Roke asks, "If the Emperors are not divine at all, why do we address them as /your divinity/? Is divinity not the quality of being divine?". The old knight rubs his unshaven chin, arching his brow.

Novtorn mumbles something about heresy. Why would the creator have a child with one of his own children?

"We don't."

"During my many years of service to Emperors Godfrey and Horen V I seem to recall addressing them as /your divinity/ on a daily basis, as I was instructed to do during my squirehood... Has the meaning of the title /emperor/ changed over the past few decades?"

"The Emperor was referred to as divine in the past, but you apparently need to brush up on our religious texts and faith. No man can be divine, the only divine is the Creator. The Emperor is a mortal, human ruler, he is not divine. The belief that he is divine was a misguided and inappropriate misconception that people used to believe, but has since been disputed and corrected by the Church. The proper way to address the Emperor currently is with 'His Imperial Majesty.'"

"The title of Emperor has not. Our most holy doctrines have, Ser. No man is divine. 'Your Divinity' is now a null title."

"Heresy." has never been muttered through the world as much as today

"Divinity was a term used in the past to describe the distinct communion which the prophets Godfrey I and Siegmund I held with the Creator, that is that they were divinely influenced and fulfilled his covenant. They were not -divine-, as in a figure of diety, as they were only flesh and blood, committing sin and of mortal nature as us all, however, and the term "Divine" used to describe them is rather archaic and confusing as it implied they were deities.

It was under Regulus I under clarification by Blessed Wilfriche Buron where this was clarified and they were confirmed as divinely influenced and exalted; their (Godfrey and Siegmund's) usage of the term divine was not necessarily incorrect, but it can mislead and thus the Church decided to amend this by giving a name which describes their nature with god better as Exalted. Only God is truly divine; his creations can be divinely inspired as Godfrey and Siegmund were, but they cannot be wholly divine as this heretic claims his babe is."

The old knight grumbles and shakes his head, stepping back as he is clearly corrected. He never bothered much with changes in the church, but all the same seems pained by the divinity of his mentor being questioned.
