[Ooc] Somethings Need To Be Acknowledged About Orcs...

So, recently there's been a huge topic going around about how people react to a certain race. That certain race is Orcs. Some people are upset that sometimes people don't seem to 'react' properly to some Orcish RP.

But I do got to say a couple of things. Now, please, don't go commenting about how 'Oh Orcs are stupid, so they're easy to kill', or other things like that. Now, I understand about a good %86 percent of you play super mage-warriors that never back down to a fight because they got they eye plucked out in Anthos once and they didn't even flinch, but c'mon...

What needs to be said is, most Orcs are big, scary and muscular. Your character, most likely, is a lot shorter and less built then the Orc. Now, I'm not going to say 'Orcz wil 1v1 shrek u pvp defult". But I believe some people need to RP more fear/hesitation, or more common sense.

And I know what you're thinking "YO §OSA WTF R U SAYIN' BRO??!!!1111!?!11// Orcz r legit retarted and eye could kill them bc im qiker n zmarter." No. Be quiet. I'm not tryna' say Orcs will always win, I'm trying to say... why would your character choose a massive Orc in full armor, to rob out of anybody else?

 

Again, I know what you're thinking. "GUD DAMMIT §OSA WTF?! My chrcter has flamin meteowr katanaz that'll rip thru his fewkin flezh1!11111!!!11". I understand that, thuroughly. But, people just need to know some things. Try to RP a little more 'hesitation' or anything. Any form of negative thing like some sweat dripping from your brow. ANYTHING. Less trying to rob an Orc for his/her armor, since it was sized for them only, and I'm sure your Dwarf won't fit in Orcish armor. No saying Orcs are stupid, they're uneducated to civilized other race customs, not stupid. So don't go saying on the forums "Orkz are retarted, haow can u du magiz?" That's shamanism.

When greenskin players say an orc can take on 5 humans at once, those humans want the orcs to have some negative traits. That isn't really my opinion, just my observation.

When it's a 1v1, I think the Orc would most likely win, but if it's a 2v1 (The 1 being the Orc) The Orc can easily be beaten haha.

But people fail to see what I was trying to say, I'm not trying to say every Orc has to win everything, I'm trying to say people need to get the right idea OOC'ly, and for some people to change something VERY slight in their RP, that's it. I'm sorry if I offended anyone

I know I'm telling people how to RP their characters (in a very slight way) but I mean, people just need to RP something in the slightest. Whether it's gulping slightly when going into melee with an Orc, or anything. Hell, you don't need to do anything, but some people do..

Orcs on LoTC are not particularly almighty. An armored orc is indeed formidable, but an armored and well-trained soldier could match them in combat with the proper strategy. Ologs are supposedly gigantic and muscular, but then again you can always slash their hamstrings from behind and incapacitate them.

 

Nobody RPs fear on LoTC properly- it is most certainly not exclusive to Orcs. I've seen people spit insults to serial killers, knights, and notorious brigands without even twitching.

 

Gandhi said 'be the change you want to be in the world'. Start RPing fear properly (if you already do, kudos), and maybe people will follow you.
