Reckless Banzai Screamer 15456 Share Posted October 5, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3RlkpI-2nk By court ruling, the eastern knight was to take in Adrian Campbell and steer his life in the right direction, following the expectations of Waldenian society. Although not there for court, he accepted the outcome and took Adrian under his wing. It had been a long time since the eastern knight could speak one on one with Adrian since the plague that inflicted them both in Kaldonia and their journey to the safe zone where they were both cured. In silence, save moments of directions to pick up firewood, the eastern knight lead Adrian further west of Vanderfell to Hanseti. There, they climbed a snowy peak looking over the town. A cave was discovered and with a whistle and a few moments of silence was deemed unoccupied. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The moon replaced the sun as the overseer of their world, rising high in the near black sky, The sun was not forgotten and towards the horizon the sky was lit a dark blue with clouds hovering in the distance. In the cave, a fire roared in a makeshift pit of pine needles and branches. Adrian and the Eastern Knight sat on opposite sides of the fire in silence until the latter spoke up. "So, start from the beginning, Adrian." The Eastern Knight says, exhaling as he stretches in place. "Beginning of what?" Adrian asks, looking up from his place by the firepit, poking at a log lightly with a stick. "Why you are heeyah, of course. They would not make you my ward for notheeng." "Because Ah don't know much 'bout the creator ah guess. They just said ah needed t' be taught" The Eastern Knight leans back, bringing his arms back to prop himself up still as he sat. "Tell me what you do know. It will save us much time." "T' creator created stuff n' most humans like us worship 'im" He blinks at him. The easterner stares at Adrian for a moment before speaking up. "Oh, you're done. Well then...I suppose we shall begin with Nativitas." He pulls out an old book with a cross on the cover and opens it to the first page. His story began with nothing but a bright light in the dark void. And from nothing, came something. The creator's gift was existence, The Eastern Knight said. It is He who gave us the opportunity to exist and learn. The Eastern Knight continued on, speaking of the four brothers and their fall to sin. He spoke of the Creator's army coming to their aid before it was too late, saving life on this world. Upon finishing the book, he went on to the next. The Book of Horen. Here, the father of mankind laid down his message from God, speaking of mankind's duty to protect the faith and what was expected of us. Adrian listened attentively, nodding every so often as he watched the Eastern Knight speak. "You must have heard sometheengs about Iblees recently, hai?" "Yeh, He's come back or somethin" "Theese are dark times. And now it is up to us to take up God's plan and smite this evil once and for all." The two spoke of what had perspired in Vanderfell with the forceful conversions some of the clergy took part in. "There will be those who will try converting othahs. Speaking of God in an attempt to convert a heathen is fine. Howevah forcing someone is wrong. According to the formah High Patriarch's paper on the 'Denial of the Light', he says to preach the faith to the kind heathen, the one willing to accept. And avoid the aggressive heathen. Those who try to forcefully convert mean well, but they are going about it the wrong way. Know theese, even those of mankind are not perfect servants of God." "Ah never wanna hurt someone jus' cause they belive in somethin else, M' ma would never 'ave wanted that.." he shakes his head, sighing "As long as they aint aggresive ah won't hurt people." "Would you hurt someone if they were insulting Quin?" "If they wouldnt stop n' wouldnt go, maybe.." He frowns, nodding "So ah guess ah would do th' same t' someone insultin the creator, but ah've never seen anyone do t'at, jus people sayin they belive somethin else- t'at aint a insult" "Vedy true. And you shouldn't hurt those who are different. But you must be solid in your faith and nevah let someone hurt you because of it." He scratches his chin for a moment. "I want to speak on Quinlan for a moment. He's going through rough times mentally. You all are..." He shakes his head. "You still theenk of your mothah?" Adrian dips his head down and nods breifly "Aye. Ah miss her n' Aya." "They are in two places, I'm sure. First they are in the Seven Skies watching over You, Quin, and Ciara. Second, they reside in your hearts. They are always with you. And that second part, I ensure you is true for I have lost many, many people Adrian. And I feel their hearts still beating through mine. It's why I choose to live for sometheeng and I don't plan to die for notheeng." Their conversation continued, speaking on the past and the young boy's future. Would he find a good wife and would he reunite with his family in the Seven Skies? "We will all die one day. Live a fulfilling life. A brave life. Marry a good woman and raise some children to believe in God. And when your time has come, you will be with them again forevah, young Adrian." They concluded Adrian would have to be stronger if he were to survive in this world. The Eastern Knight unsheathes his sword adorned with a Lorraine Cross on the hilt and a long red ribbon strand hanging from the butt of the hilt. "Take my blade. Defend your famiry, defend our peopre. Live a good, fulfilling life. You must take this journey into your own hands, for I cannot go back with you." "Your- Your not coming back?" He frowns, gripping the blade tightly. "Not today. Back home, I am the shadow to someone's light. I worked hard to ensure their success. But now they shine so brightly, the shadow must fade." He takes a stick, poking at the dieing fire to get it going again. Adrian nods, setting the sword next to him and letting out a breath "..Ah'll fight for you too, then, cause Ah'll miss you" "Focus on Aestahwald. Your friends and famiry reside there. If the light grows dim, I will return to help it shine brightly once more." He gestures to the opening of the cave. "Now go." Adrian stands, brushing off his pants and picking up the blade, tying it to his belt and glancing back at the man. The Eastern Knight stares at him in silence, nodding once. Adrian nods in return, making his way out of the cave "Remembah." He says as Adrian exits to himself. "Live for sometheeng, but don't die for notheeng." The Eastern Knight, Raigeki Kato "The Ramen Man" kneels down in the cave alone, taking out a long dagger. Undoing his robe top he extends it out infront of him, pointed inward. A hypocrite for even the teacher had demons of his own. Sweat fell from his brow. This was a sin in its own right, an arguably unforgivable one. He thought for a moment if all that was spoken to Adrian he meant. He closed his eyes, tightening his grip on the handle. However, Raigeki decided not to opt out in the end. Perhaps he had some shred of hope for the world.

Krumples 10 Share Posted October 5, 2014 Ludovic steps out of his cave, noticing a bird flying over with a parchment attached to it. He takes out his bow and arrow and aims it toward the fast moving bird. Ludovic fires the arrow directly at the bird, knocking the bird out of the sky. He takes the parchment and returns to his cave. Gasps, then turned into a deep sigh frowning. "Rest in peace, my good friend." Edit 1: ((lol oops. Note to self: read the spoilers next time. Thanks fumble.)) OhDeerLord 673 Share Posted October 5, 2014 Adrian keeps his head down as he makes hos way back towards Asterwald- a claymore across his back, Raigekis blade on his hip, and a dagger Quin gave him on the other. He wore a shirt with a swatch of fabric sewn on the inside, remnant of a sweater his mother and aunt made him before they died. He kept all of these things with him, the material reminders of those he cares about. Taking in a long breath of the cold air, he continued on. He was sure he would see his teacher and friend again some day.Live for something, don't die for nothing.

WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Quin had spent more time alone than usual recently. Aside from drills, battles and other necessary duties he'd been all but invisible. He knew Raigeki had been absent too, and that had made him more reclusive. Iblees had returned and all races were at war once again. He had lost friends and family to vengeful daemons before. Watching his daughter and son from afar, he straightens himself stoically, and murmurs under his breath: "Ah am the shadow to your light. Where you do not shine, I will reside. Ah will make you two the greatest of mankind."
