Have you ever had that feeling that someone was behind you, watching you, looking over your shoulder as you read a novel while you relax with a cold mug of Ale? You look behind you as you feel that ticking cold sensation on the back of your head and... nothing. You shrug and turn back to read, taking another quick look behind to make sure nothing is there.

 

"What are you looking at?"

 

Have you ever heard such whispers so cold and so close to your ear that it seemed to freeze? Looking back in a spook and finding nothing where the whisper came from? You reach your hand to your ear, it's freezing cold. You look around, where did that whisper come from? You talk back, asking if there is anyone there, for the person to show itself, with threats or with a stutter of fear.

 

"I'm waaaaaaiting~"

 

 

 

This is just a simple post on the new way I will be teaching some players the art of Contract Magic without having to break character on my main. There are only 1 to 3 contract mages in Athera, so I decided it would be good to find a way to train a few more. Answer in this thread, or send a pm if you're interested. Though remember, contract magic requires a sort of scholar with no fear of hurting others, though he can lose the fear with time.

What an odd thing, but this ancient Elf, though showing no signs of age, was indeed reading a book. He would slowly lower it with a frown, glancing towards the source with a look of...confusion? No, better yet, he seemed interested.

 

The dark haired Elf would slowly place his bookmark where it belongs and close his book, obviously patient as he made sure no page was creased and treated with respected. Slowly lowering the book into his lap, he would fold his hands together over it and smile, looking over his shoulder as he asked one simple question,

 

"Where are you waiting for me?"

 

((This would be my very new character, been waiting for the skin to play him with for months. He is an approved Imp Parasite, as I'm taking this on for Voidsoldier at his agreeing.))

"Just when things were starting to calm down..." he mumbles to himself, closing his half-written letter. He places his quill on the tabletop as he stands, calling out. 

 

"If you want something of me, be a bit more clear, yeah?"

 

He crosses his arms behind his back, his blue eyes scanning the room. His left hand inches up to the afflicted ear, rubbing it gently while a frown slowly creeps on to his face. After a moment of silence, he speaks once more.

 

"I'm waiting, too."
