Yaehahn nods to Dak'ir as she enters. "Father." She says in mock seriousness though a small smile tugs at her lips. She then giggles softly to herself and goes to sit next to Arveldir.

Elayne glances around the room and wave to anyone who shows up, biting her lower lip as she had forgotten something "Hmm..I should have brought something for us to drink.."

Dak'ir smirks at Yaehahn, moving his arms behind his back.

"Good evening my kin, thank you for coming. I've gathered you here today to discuss several things and ask your opinions on others. As well, make a few announcements. With our recent population boom, I thought this was fitting.

To start off, I will be naming Mizziyrn and Arveldir my counsellors, my right and left hands. They will personally oversee to tasks of high importance and, should I be unable to attend, go to diplomatic meetings in my stead. Another thing is that we will be changing the Div'cruan rank titles to common. This was something brought to my attention by a few members. They expressed that is was more of the mali'aheral way than our own. While elvish is our ancient tongue, it does not make sense to use it if most of us cannot even understand it. I'll speak with Alakagh afterwards about the new names of said ranks. Thirdly, I will be needing several architects for an upcoming project that has been left unattended for too long, anyone interested in contributing may see me after this meeting."

He clears his throat, looking around the room for a moment before continuing.

"This next subject concerns the laws of our hollow. While we technically have the same laws as Laureh'lin we will now be adding a few more that will apply only to us. These laws are simple and I am already positive that most, if not all, of those living within the hollow have nothing to fear from. Firstly, we will not be allowing the blue-skinned dark elves within our city. Perhaps everyone that has come into this hollow has been some assassin or madman. What gives them this strange skin tone? I have no idea. Perhaps it's some sort of thanic poisoning. Another thing is that we will be officially outlawing the worship of the spider queen indefinitely and of the moon goddess within public places. While it goes without saying that worshipping the same being as the Mori is almost unheard of, there are still some who cling to her dark rituals. And concerning Velulaei, while most sons and daughters of the Trinity are gone. It will have to be stricken to shrines within homes of her followers. Our temple was created to venerate our Ancestors, nobody else. As well, while this is not so much of a law and more of a suggestion. Please, for our Ancestor's sake put some damn clothes on... It's no wonder why humans think of dark elven women as harlots when they're walking around with next to nothing on."

He exhales heavily as he shuts his eyes for a moment.

"Please, give me your thoughts on these topics. After a small discussion we will move on."

Yriel smirks at the mention of clothing, "Thahnium installations arround the hollow would solve that issue quite nicely. As for the blue skin-tone, my own research indicates that it travels down the ancestral line, much like the valah condition of albinism. Their mental instability is likely just the result of an over-indulgence in the carnal pleasures, as our kind have been prone to doing since the mists of time first began to fall and cover the racial origins."

Demagol nods as he listens, having not the slightest of an idea on what he's talking about, but he pretends he knows.

"I too can lend a hand with building"

Dak'ir furrows his brow as a Div'cruan brings him a letter. He quickly scans it over.

"Well, the builders may be settled already. It seems like I'll have a meeting in the near future."

He turns his head to Yriel, folding the letter and handing it to Elayne.

"I do not care what they are. They are a problem and will be dealt with as such. Now, does anyone else have anything to say about the other laws or anything else?

"I'd like to speak about our policy of keeping the gate closed. It turns away a significant group of dark elves who would choose to dwell among us. Yet it keeps the barbarians from terrorizing us in our home. I cannot even begin to decide if keeping the gates shut is a net negative or positive policy. I'd like to put this notion up for a vote, or perhaps lets give it a trial and decern if keeping it open continuously is wise.

Syndaria coughs, speaking slowly and carefully as though trying to suppress an accent.

"Isn't discriminating against people for being blue just like what the high elves did that got them kicked out?"

"Isn't discriminating against people for being blue just like what the high elves did that got them kicked out?"

This is not some discrimination made by some feebled high elf, it's based on fact and evidence. I am quite certain that the illness that causes blue skin also leads to a mental illness; however, that this is just speculation based on my own and other dark elves experience. Like the mental illness of psychopaths or crazed knife-wielding, pumpkin-wearing fiends, we cannot let them in our city.

I've yet to meet a single blue skinned elf that wasn't bound to commit crimes and sow chaos. That being said they're still allowed on the surface and the mall'vellui may prove themselves there. I suppose if one of their species were to prove my speculation wrong then I'd be okay with their presence, yet I would never call them brother or sister.

Dak'ir nods to Mizziyrn.

"Perhaps we can simply leave it open for a couple elven weeks as a trail test and see how it goes from there. My original reasoning in leaving it open was to keep humans, ghouls, and such out. Though what humans do visit now respect our laws here and are friends. Ghouls on the other hand haven't been seen near the city since siege of Embermoor."

He turns to Syndaria next.

"Yes, maybe it does sound like the mali'aheral. But to me, these people are none too different from the snow elves. Anyone here who lived in Haelun'or during our time in the Fringe knew our... interactions with the mali'fenn. I am simply taking an action to keep ourselves better protected. I will never take after the high elves and begin forcing people to change their lives drastically. There will be no restrictions on who one can lay with or marry. Weather it be wood elf, high elf, human or what ever they choose. I do not understand why someone may wed a human, but I would not judge them for it. There will be no laws against how one dresses or colors their hair. As long as you are not outright nude, you are fine. However I can't guarantee that Mizziyrn or myself won't chew you out for being dressed like a harlot or having your hair as a ridiculous color like pink for example. Regardless, no, we are not taking a high elven route to how we run things here. Just being cautious."

"We must not forget about Iblees and his minions are out and about. About an elven week, a cultist arrived outside of the gates of Annil'sul, claiming that he is wearing a costume. However, I caught him, pulling hairs from a child Kha, so I and others detained him to one of the cages that was outside of Annil'sul. Then, an undead being arrived, demanding us to release him, and it started to attack us. For some reason, an orc was in the city, attacking us. We'd defeated these two with only one casualty and some wounded." Alakagh takes a deep breath. "Also, I clearly remembered a necromancer invaded us, had killed a citizen, and almost killed one of my men. This happened before the high elves of the Silver Law were overthrown, but I never want to see it happen ever again." Alakagh paused for a moment. "I don't approve on leaving the gates open because I want every citizen to feel safe when walking in these streets."
