As the looming echoes of soundless death flew across the burnt, shab ruins of the burned cities in the Jagged Lands, the very thing Descendants had always feared had come to pass. Difference. Culture, separateness, the exotic, In their struggles to tame the lands of Athera, they awoke Iblees, but is that all whom they awakened? The Elves pushed through Fiandria in bloody murder, expansion and conquest of the small woodland realm. The Dwarves pushed through the mountains.

What could they have angered? They were surely in the right...

What they did not realize, is the woodmen were sentient. What they did not realize was that these masked savages, were men of flesh and bone and stock.

And so it sealed; the men and women of the Descendants held no care, the woodfolk would have their revenge for the destruction of their lands, people, and culture.

The Descendants were their own flame, and the natives the crucible. 

They fell under the wrath of a people they did not understand,

And the Descendants thought it was merely a non sentient, purposeless evil

Revenge is now sought for the wrongs of men.

((Thank ya! And more or less, they assume all the Descendants are aiming to do such, the humans have attacked a few times, orcs as well. They see the Descendants to be war mongering fools due to their different culture!))

Elves have in fact replanted as many of Fiandria's trees as they have cut down and in fact grown many larger birch trees in their place. They would like this unfair and baseless assumption amended.

The folk merely were murdered and genocided like pesky vermin, the tree-men were not trees, but men created  of wood who were burned by the onslaught of High-Elves. The near cult like folk who believe this are fanatical, and will not amend what they do not believe in, believing it fair judgement.
