"I have not seen much of the Okarir'tir. I wish to challenge his position, if need be."

"The position of Okarir'tir is different from all others. It is not an elected position, and is rather selected by Elsohaer, or, at Elsohaer's discretion, by the former Okarir'tir himself. You may, of course, call for a vote of no confidence in Ikur's ability, which, if successful, will lawfully force the government to release him from his position - however, until oem'Sohaer is elected, we would be without the most important Okarir, especially in a time of war. So wait and stay your tongue and mind for a few moments - Elsillumiran have not crumbled yet."

Duvaindir finished his speech on leaflets of papyri, a ceremony he often found himself performing. He bent at the pond, various men in his company, and drew water up against his slender arms and hands. The last of the water to drain he slaked against the papers and proceeded to exit to the south. With news of Sohaer Kalameet's descent from the seat of authority, he drew himself to the Silver Gates and found his way in. Thill'onn and there he found himself standing at a modest podium of his own assertion. There, in an unveiling of papers from pocket, he stood and made his announcement:

"The honor I received from one of the newest of our kin, whose name he did not give, but sure I am of his purity for he donned the mask of the Weeping Blades - he invited me here. At the treading of my meditative pilgrimage did he find me, accosted me initially but thereafter my gentle bidding did he retract his hard words and reciprocated me with glad tidings and an urging to return to the Silver City.

Here I am, in plain flowing robes of wool, I have been meditating on the ethics, on the poetics, on the morals. O these Times! O these Morals! We are at war, what have I to do with this?!

I have come to remind you all of what the ages try and speak of us as. Intelligent beings, we cast down gold-throated beings for what purpose? Now we recoil like a failed viper and cry 'defense!' but are we not like the ouroboros? The deeds of a follied few have swallowed our tail and while our mouths gag 'defense', we lie to ourselves about the reality of the situation!

Pray tell you not accuse me of not giving care for my kin, a great many I have seen to their safety and free from harm. I come as a controversial one, but I come with actual actions rather than groveling and the sort - I can end this war. I can end it swiftly and I can end it surely. I can do this while laying the very brick and mortar to a barrack that should have been built years ago. My dear, respected kin Asul'athri is correct in suggesting that we aren't exactly trained for what the follied few desire us to throw the young into and in that respect - I have written greatly on my direct experiences from the Fringe onward on the military sciences. I won't only be speaking of these sciences of the military, but seeing to the other sciences actually understood.

I have written many a great works in my custody, those who want the proof of these may send me a personal letter to view them privately. I will be a forthright Sohaer and one who will adapt to the demands but also strong enough to stand against the malignant elements that may spirit away the logic and reasoning of those not strong enough.

Also, Asul'athri, feel free to send me a written dispatch so that we may discuss the military sciences I have written on - I believe you will enjoy them with the utmost curiosity.

Much obliged and thank you for hearing me,

I am Duvaindir Thill'onn

Iatrilemar tilts his head "This one who speaks does not live with us. He fights for the mali'ame. What a fool.. Not a mali'aheral in the slightest."

"I would certainly vote for Galan as oem Medi'ir, but not as Sohaer. He ought change his targetted position, hm?" Ikur remarks to nobody in particular as he walks by the white-haired old Elf.

Iat nods to Ikur

"We do not need a new experimental Sohaer. We stability through these times. The only Mali'aheral I have noticed that could bring this about is Avern who has in the past done nothing but stabilize the Mali'aheral during past hardships. If the times were different we might have the patience to teach someone what it means to be Sohaer but we do not have such a luxury. Is there any candidate other than Avern that truly believes they can help us or do you just seek power? All I see are Mali who are reaching for something out of reach. Do not strive for something only to make us fall with you.

If anyone is interested in the matter I am not running for the position but I do believe I know what we need at this moment in time after watching six other Sohaers pass including the time in which I held the position."

Kalameet reads the speeches, he chortles.

"I removed this from the city for joining the Ivory Military."

Interesting because others say otherwise and wholly with the truth. Regardless, if you weren't so given to conspiracy, you'd actually see the use of my... shall we say infiltration? Unlike most others, I am actually half-decently clever and not trembling at the hands. Feel free to write me correspondence so that you can see the full scope of what I mean.

((In the heart of Supremacy's snide "No Meta" OOC spoilers, I am not going to get in depth about the above unless you write me personally or find me in-game because I want to avoid metagaming!))

Iatrilemar tilts his head "This one who speaks does not live with us. He fights for the mali'ame. What a fool.. Not a mali'aheral in the slightest."

"Interesting, unless your pseudo-science has it that rubbing bark on my Mali'aheral skin evolves me into an 'ame, then you are sadly incorrect. Oh and I best recommend you towards the evidence of bureaucratic failure in that I was never given housing. See the document below. I am quite sure Avern'dionne can attest to the fact that her and I actually made peace approximately a day [3 hours ago] or two ago!

Now, the both of you, I commend the attack and suggest to turn to the substance of our speech. I commend Galan for his patience and persevere through my own tribulations as we both run for Sohaer", Duvaindir commented.

"I must agree with Iat. I do not want the post of Sohaer, nor do I feel that I would perform well in such a post - only better than the inexperienced Evindal would, or Duvaindir, whose loyalties are, one way or another, questionable. Is there no one whom would challenge the original speaker?"

After observing the discussions for a time, Delonna finally speaks up.

"If anyone is under the impression that turncoats already removed by the previous Sohaer will be allowed to live in Haelun'or, let alone run for positions of the Triumvirate, let it be known that they are very much mistaken. Duvaindir Thill'onn may be High Elf, but he is far from Mali'aheral. He is to be peacefully escorted out of Haelun'or. Should he be found within our walls again, he may be treated as one of the Mali'ame he chooses to associate with.

With that being said, let the legitimate candidates continue. For anyone who wishes to serve our people, but lacks the experience to lead them, I will note that should one of our existing Medi'iran prove most suitable, a second election will be held to fill the spot they vacated."

You've already made it clear that you like to declare we hate you, and call us children that need to find a new hobby. Whilst I find the entire concept of 'hating' someone over a video game pretty ridiculous, I certainly think it's you that needs a new hobby. If we're all children and our immaturity offends you, then I suggest you find someone your own age to waste time with. As you like to say, it's just a game.

Feel free to speak with me "Delonna, we aren't all abrasive or too reserved for interpersonal conversation, I already explained to Ceru'berr as to what aces I have in my sleeve", Duvaindir reminded Delonna.

((On break, try to hit me up in game tomorrow for roleplay because I'm not spilling beans in fear of meta.))

Tiuth Ni'leya's brow furrows slightly, listening to the speeches given. "...."  Taking a deep breath, the purple eyed mali'aheral strides forward, clearing his throat to gain the people's attention.

"I.. Wish to make known my intentions to run for Sohaer. I would be steadfast in foreign affairs, and in times of war. I have no talent for speech giving, and so I say this. My actions speak louder than any words I might say. I stand with the Sillumir in defense of the city. I take time out of my day and dedicate it to research. I am one of the people, and as such, I would know what it is the people want." He pauses, lowering his head in a nod. "That is all."

"I say without hesitation that the mali'aheral shall follow their ideal of progress and health until time melts into a string of events so long and so numerous that the meaning of time itself is forgotten. It is for but merely half a century that I did guide our Blessed Kindred, seeking first to lift us out from our moment of greatest sadness after the betrayal of the vile Alfakyn and then to help us reach new heights".

Kalenz shifts, brushing a speck of dirt from his coat before continuing.

"Forget not, dear elves of Haelun'or, it was I who struck "Steel upon Wood" and repelled the elves of Malinor who wished to strangle our food supply, it was I who forged the Concordat of Crimson—Silver and it was I who wrought us a unity of elven kind not seen since the days of Malinor in Aegis."

Kalenz smiles wickedly after this.

"It is not because the bortu truly believe I have committed crimes that they scorn me, it is not because the mali'ame truly think I am mad that they curse me— Nae, it is because they wish to keep our blessed kind weak— At their knees and constantly beset with liberal leaders so that they can sleep easily knowing that when they kill a mali'aheral on the road there shall be no reprisals. Passive elves and passive leaders— I do not condone these things".

"Let me be clear and concise, Children of Silver, there is no room for those in this world who seek to cause us harm. There is no room for those who seek to slit our throats in our sleep and watch us fall silently from grace and into despair. It is the wood elves who do this to us now: Seeking to undermine the very fabric of our society. It is therefore that I say nae! Strike the wood elf in his home and leave him with the reminder that the Children of Silver are not to be trifled with upon a whim. Strike steel not upon wood as we have in the past, but upon the flesh and bone of the elves who declared genocide against us but twelve short years ago."

"The children of the Wood have struck us, and we shall strike back. It is thus I declare my candidacy for Sohaer: Permit me to lead my Blessed Kindred as I have done in the past. To lead us to the glory and peace of ages past."

With that the illusionist would bow, before uttering with a whisper before his exit:

"kaean'leh evareh, malii'Larihei".

-Snip-

Atlas could've sworn Kalenz was dead...

Then he makes his way to Kalenz's tomb (that he'd walked past but a Saint's day earlier), only to find it now empty and stripped of the name formerly displayed above the door.

"Evil is afoot!", he exclaims in shock, confused by the dead elf's resurrection, and assuming necromancy to be the cause.

Iat banters a jolly banter:

"Fall not for the trickery of the illusionist, lliran! It is a dark path! As we approach the elections reach for those which will illuminate the night, not trick you into thinking they are the sun.

Beware the illusionist! Beware the naysayer! The corruption of his mind stems through the decades. Lay it to rest!"

Asul sighs a private sigh of absolute relief. Tiuth had made known has candidature, and it was he whom he trusted more than the original speaker - though, to be perfectly honest, his own mind found itself wondering whether it would be Kalenz whom would lead better.

The spare papers have been removed, and a new note with directions has been pinned up.

The time for nominations has ended, and the time for voting has come. Citizens should proceed into the library to submit their votes.
