note: i just realized that the whole bio on my last application was my drafted app. I had two word documents and seemed to have mistakenly copy-pasted the draft instead of my modified app. Oops. There are a few changes to her whole biography in this new one. Sorry for the trouble!

What is roleplaying?:  ever since i started roleplaying, it has only had one meaning for me: roleplaying is an ecape from the mundane reality. it is when you completely become someone else.

What is metagaming?: it is when you roleplay in a rather shitty way. I suppose it could be called "god modding" for it is when you use knowledge that you character should rightfully be oblivious about.

What is powergaming?: It is the same, in my opinion as the definition i have stated above. It is to fully take control of what happens in a scene without giving other people a chance to react.

Character’s name: Lindrianna Heartshorn

Character’s age: 114 Years of Age

 

 

Biography :

 

Lindrianna Heartshorn's life has revolved around the care of creatures of any kind for almost as long as she can remember. It was their hereditary position in the  small Slughorn estate, an estate she used to live in as a child, located just in the outskirts of a city called Elandriel.  and so her path was set before her almost immediately. Fortunately, she liked dogs, so it wasn't a problem, though she doesn't much care for other animals.

 

 She was still a junior huntswoman when the catastrophe struck the Slughorn estate. A large group of undead had shown up without any warning. Her father, quick to jump right into the action, was slain in the battle.  Her mother soon followed, slain by orcs they meet during their attempt to find save harbours away from their destroyed estate.  She then looked for her brother who was no where to be found. She persisted herself to think in an optimistic way  about her brother. Maybe he had ran away , maybe he is in a much safer place.

 

Lindrianna hadn't actually meant to steal most of the famed  sighthounds from their small estate, but flee with them she did. Lindrianna is currently taking care of the hounds in secret as well as her own dogs. It's definitely a job and a half, but she's terrified she'll be strung up as a thief and horribly punished if the authorities find out she has so many of the expensive animals. This is unlikely, since expensive leisure activities like coursing are much rarer in these harder times. Lindrianna, however, is not reasonable about this.

 

Living for more than a hundred years, Lindrianna is one of the few  wood elves are who able to understand and speak the Elvish language. Though she barely uses it these days for obvious reasons.

 

Personality Traits:

 

Lindrianna's life has revolved around the care of hawks and hounds - mostly hounds - and often times she forgets that other people are probably not as interested in them as she is.  Since she can't work as she was originally trained, Lindrianna currently does any odd job available for a bit of coin, and hunts frequently to supplement her food supply.  She automatically defers to anyone who looks of a higher rank than herself, and that's a lot of people.

 

 

Ambitions:

 

Lindrianna's dreams is to be the best well-renowed hunter there is; to master the art of Archery as she once promised her father.  She also wishes to tame one of the most powerful creatures known to all mankind before her demise and to find her brother's current where-abouts.

 

 

Strengths/Talents:

 

Yes, she IS that good with dogs of any stripe. She's not a bad hand with any other kind of animals either. She's naturally gifted with that, some might say. Lindrianna is also an excellent hunter in her own right: almost all the meat she and her dogs eat comes from what they catch. It's much too expensive otherwise. And though not very good at it, Lindrianna was taught how to play the harp from such a small age. She would often play it alone, and seldom play it around people.  Growing up with hunters, Lindrianna was also taught how to make arrows. Doing it for over a hundred years, she's a master at it.

 

She was also taught how to cook, it was one of the things she enjoyed the most outside of archery and taking care of their animals. Sometimes, it requires a few trial and errors whenever she does cook these days, but the other half of the time; she's been told that her cooking is amazing.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities:

 

Due to having been used to the art of archery, Lindrianna isn't very keen on using swords. It's not that she's bad at it -- okay, maybe that's exactly how it is. But in her defense, she could be worse. I guess her enigmatic demeanor could often come off as 'rude' behaviour to other people, as well.  With a family of hunters, you'd think she'd know how to carve bows, but carving she isn't familiar with. It was a skill her father always wanted to teach her, but she was far too stubborn to even participate in it; she believed that the art of bow making are best to be left to people who enjoy doing it ( in which she does not very much)

 

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight):

 

Like a typical wood elf, Lindrianna has brown skin and a long dirty-brown hair.  She always wears a plain green  leather clothing that reveal Lindrianna's as a commoner; she has the body and hands of someone who's always worked for a living. She often seems nervous, as if hunted or guilty. She may actually be in possession of the worst poker face in the world. She also wears a rather curious pendant on her neck. It was given to her by her late mother before she had died from the horrifying incident. Lindrianna Heartshorn never leaves her house without her trusty bow and a quiver.
