I got into Star Citizen fairly recently, and am wondering who else on LotC has backed it?

 

I own an Avenger and am pretty bad at Arena Commander.

 

Also, is there a Star Citizen organization for LotC? If not, someone needs to make one.

About 69+ Million american bucks, that's a lot of cheese. I thought about backing it a while back when the backing perks were way better. If I had the money then I totally would have but now they sell crap packages for way more in comparison to back then so I've decided nah. Probably won't play the game when it comes out either due to the massive disadvantage I'd have as a normal player.

Their funding model is probably the most troubling part of the game; It does stink of pay to win. But I guess we have to trust in their ability to make the game fair for all.

Yeah, apparently you will be able to get a Constellation (a medium sized multi-crew ship) after 'a week of playing.' Which has so many variables and different definitions that you can't tell, but I do hope it is reasonable.

 

Ultimately, having every single ship because you payed multiple thousands of dollars seems to destroy a large chunk of the exploration and achievement of the game, but, whatever, people do what they want.

I pledged an Avenger in Dec 2013 though I intend to do more shipping and merchandising than bounty hunting unless I get a joystick and more practice into the dogfighting module. Or I might try to join a PMC or Pirate clan as part of a boarding crew.

 

Avenger was the most I could afford and had the biggest cargo-space of that line of prices.
