The real question is, what can't clerics heal?

Limbs, any inherent born stuff, anything after they die, and mana loss.

They kill all other doctor RP and make injury basically meaningless. You can sever someone's limbs our put out their eyes, and that player can come back 30 minutes later and say "yeah cleric healed!!!" and regain full function.

 

This sorta thing is silly and it ruins LoTC's credibility (Injuries that would realistically be permanent, life-changing and deforming are now just a single trip to the doc). Nerf clerics at least to the point where it's not possible to regrow limbs or massive injuries within a single (RL) day.

 

People can already go "well monks fixed it."

All points have been made by others, but like... I really see no need to nerf them as what you have stated is a redline (regeneration of a limb, assuming you don't count fingers or toes or small things). Druids can heal, shamans can heal, xan paladins can heal, necromancers can even sustain someone for a while, alchemy can basically patch people up as well as any healer assuming you have the right potions, et cetera.

 

And let's not forget monks who can basically heal everything.

yeah how about we just remove clerics, paladins and monks completely and have permadeath too

Speaking as a cleric I highly disagree. Learning to become a cleric takes ages, it's an extremely difficult process; healing can render a cleric unconscious, it takes many many many Irl months for a cleric to gain enough skill to heal a large injury, and overall with the whole "healing limbs" point, that's totally invalid there is only one cleric I know who may be able to heal a limb such as a finger, Clerical magic is both difficult, and when studied hard for a long time extremely useful in RP. It does not kill DR. RP at all, DR.'s are constantly needed In large injuries and such, as well as herbal healers. Most clerics even combine doc & herbal skills with there healing. To even heal the simplest of wounds a cleric must be privy of the whole internal anatomy of that particular area, a skill my cleric consults doctors on all the time. So I have expressed my opinion toward this issue and if you have any questions please ask, I can assure you clerics only add to RP.

simply join the join the dark arts side cus no holy ****** is gonna come and save your ass when you're bleeding out as a known necromancer

I will still heal you <3 [Heal you right down to the nether from whence you came!]

But this goes with my idea of Unholy clerics who can heal the tainted and currupt

Patch Notes 101.

 

- Cleric Q (Limb Recreation) reduced from a 100% scaling to 0.01% Succes rate.

 

We've chosen to Nerf Clerics due to their overpowered status, it simply meant no fun for the players who wanted to slash off another persons limb. This is a conserning fact since most of the playerbase, is mentally messed up and the majority of the characters are all psycopaths/sociopaths. And since we want to keep our reputation as the number one roleplaying community (the title that we gave ourselves), we want to create for a more realistic environment in a high fantasy server, because that makes sense.

 

Minor Patch Notes.

 

- Monk Healing have been raised to a 100% succes rate on healing everything.

 

This has been the League of LotC Patch notes 101.
