Why do you want to be a builder for the ET? The short of it is that I think I have what it takes to be a builder for this server and hopefully the screenshots I provide below will prove that to anyone. The long of it is that I like this server and I really want to contribute to it in anyway that I can. As it stands I think building most exemplifies my most prominent skills and thus I apply to become a builder. I hope to aid the ET, GM, LMs, Media and who ever else with what ever they may need for any number of projects. I simply need a theme or constrictor and I can adapt to any building needs.

What are some of your most treasured builds? (screenshots if possible): It was a little while ago but I had built this nice little village like settlement in the valley between some massive mountains that I had made in voxel. A little river ran through the middle of it and it was all snowy. I modeled the building styles as if it belonged in Skyrim with a large Jarl like keep acting as the focal point of the whole build. But the center of the town belonged to a large stone gazebo with a blazing fire pit at it’s center while all the homes and shops fanned out from there. I hold it as my most treasured build over the other castles, keeps and so forth because of just how comfortable it was for me to just walk around it all. I built it as if I intended to actually roleplay inside of it and as a result the whole place felt cozy and lively despite the freezing climate it was in and the massive towering mountains that stooped over it.

What MMORPG/video games do you play? Right now this is it as far as current occupation goes. I have played everything from World of Warcraft, to Forsaken World, to Anarchy Online to even Face of Mankind. Normal video games are too many to count, of course the big titles, FPSs, RTSs, RPGs, and casual games sprinkled in the mix. I like to play everything.

Please provide screenshots of any medieval builds strictly you have built and a description of each:

This is a house I designed with the High Elven style in mind, though I noticed that most homes currently in the High Elven city lacks interior space so I took on the challenge of designing one with a good amount of interior space while still maintaining a more slender appearance as to allow it to fit inside the limited space of the city and still leave room for further development.

And finally here is one of two homes in a designed block unit. I chose to display this one in particular because I like the interior layout more than the other one. Primairly stone skeleton and structure with a cozy atmosphere once inside. The interior layout is centered around the fireplace element and only consists of two rooms, giving emphasis on the living area or private area then leading up stairs to the bedding area or private space.

Please provide an example of a decent sized ruin build (stone or otherwise):

A stone ruin built atop a mountain. Through the ruined arches that lead up from the ground below you come to a set of plateues connected by short and wide stairways, creating a layered space. Further along is a large entry way that could lead back into the mountain, to a larger fortress behind it or to the upper plateau area behind it that also leads to the left. Further left is what used to be a curved and arched walkway that would have crescented and connected to the mountain top on the other side of the sheer gorge below it. The ruin has since eroded down the cliffs over time and vegetation has taken roots in the ever growing cracks in the stone work.

Please provide an example of terraforming:

Pretty straightforward, a large rock formation in the form of a spike, suited almost exclusively to an icy environment or perhaps with a new paintjob, something straight from the nether.

Please provide an example of a organic build:

Previously, there was no water, no trees and mostly just stone. Now there exists a quant little pond being fed by an ice melt waterfall, surrounded by thick vegetation. At the cliff base is a little cave in which signs of habitation exists- perhaps a secluded little fishing spot and home away from home for the busy Heartlander. This build doubles as organic and terraforming.

Please provide an example of a High fantasy build:

A floating island with a few chunks of land floating near by it, probably from the rough extraction from the ground below by some sort of magical influence. Atop it a single stone building with a tower. And atop that a large green crystal chained to building and to itself. Designed to be the humble home of magic user whom had come into possession of a crystal object of power. Due to the floating island element to this build, I would categorize this as a terraforming piece as well as fantasy.

Are you an independent builder, and are you capable of handling all aspects of a build? I can do a lot of good work on my own and have undertaken many projects all by myself. However, I do see great value in working with others on certain projects, especially those who are on the same page creatively.

Do you know much about redstone? Yes, I often use things like redstone lamps and pistons for tables as well as redstone doors and other lighting systems. Mostly for homes or dungeon builds.

How long does it take for you to complete a build? Depends on the build itself but I am generally very efficient and can complete projects as quickly as need be with a good amount of quality results.

Tell us how you plan on constructing a large build, a medium build, and a small build.

A large build would start out at the planning table, drafting up everything I intend to put into the project then moving on to where each thing will fit in with each other and finally coming up with a sort of checklist of things that need to happen in order to complete the project. I would then begin building, at first laying down the rough foundations, doing some extra planning work with perhaps wool lines or dirt/stone blocks. I would also take this time to see if planned ideas will actually be practical and adapt from whatever I figure out from there. Once the rough outlines are done I would then fill in the rest. Then after I have basically finished the overall shape of what the build will be I would then turn my attention to the finer details, that being signs of age, decay, use as well as furnishings, set pieces and finally the overall paint job of the entire build. The final touches would be several scan overs of the build project from many angles and fixing tiny details then pulling in others to critique before submission. By the conclusion of the project, all the major ideas should have been implemented as best as possible and the drafted checklist should be all ticked off.

For a medium project I would still start off with a sort of plan, making sure that what is needed from the project is properly implemented before beginning and so that I know exactly what is expected of it. I would then move right into a rough construction and once again finish with the smaller details and final paint job. Since it is a medium sized build I would spend some extra time on the extra detail portion as there is less to look at overall so I would make sure that what is actually there is of the highest or most appealing quality. I’d then close out with a final critique and submit.

A smaller build can be simply done off the cuff with a prompted theme or idea. I’d collect any special details for the project at hand and just go to town. The process is the same as the others, rough work then up and close detail. Over all and obviously, the small build would be done pretty quickly.

Additional details (Do you know how to Voxel? World Edit? Craftbook? Etc...): I have worked on many projects using voxel and I consider myself quite skilled with it. I could say the same for World Edit and even Craftbook as well. I prefer to use voxel for all large/medium scale terraforming projects but I am perfectly capable of achieving the same product by hand if need be.

Tell me a trick about building (eg: floating torches, custom heads) You can make fancier torch holsters on walls for an added ascetic when building. Just place an item fram on the wall, put whatever block you want on display in the frame (I.E. cobble stone slab, blocks or even an anvil) then just place the torch on that block by clicking slightly off the edge of the frame.

Tell me what you want from the ET. I just want the opportunity to contribute and to be a part of a team that is dedicated to making the server better.

I like the ruin, I like it a lot. What about "evil" themed builds? Are you able to construct something that looks devilish and evil?

Everything done by hand, with a little help from TnT. Decided against just going to the nether world and building there.

I would have been done sooner if I had decided to use the nether instead of making a nether-esk environment by hand but all in all I'm happy with the space I was able to create on my own.

Bizmark has shown he can build upon request and offers a variety of build styles. I believe that he could produce builds much better than a few unmentionable ET builders and would be a great asset to the team in regards to creating sets for our ET acting purposes.

One, I plus you.

Dat high fantacy will get you accepted broski. The Organic and Ruins are good too so they will accept since tey are the only things ET builders build these days (as well as giant trees) +1

you display a great variety in your builds and you seem to be capable of using different styles. i think your ruin build has a lot of depth to it and is quite creative, and i like your organic build as well. i'd be happy to see you on the team but please for the love of god build in default
